Saving these lives gets no peace prize or international praise

"I think after September 11th the American people are valuing life more and realizing that we need policies to value the dignity and worth of every life. And President Bush has worked to say, let's be reasonable, let's work to value life, let's try to reduce the number of abortions, let's increase adoptions. And I think those are the kind of policies that the American people can support, particularly at a time when we're facing an enemy, and really the fundamental difference between us and the terror network we fight is that we value every life. It's the founding conviction of our country, that we're endowed by our creator with certain unalienable rights, the right to life and liberty and the pursuit of happiness." Karen Hughes, former Bush adviser, speaking on CNN April 24, 2004.

But the No-bel judges were correct in stating that Obama had caught the world's attention--during the long campaign and his 10 months in office he talks mostly about himself (which may have cost Chicago the Olympics), which necessarily deceases the emphasis on the United States, which enormously pleases both our enemies and envious friends. And Chavez. At least Bush freed millions of women and history will show which man was greater. The one who believes every child should have life, or the one who thinks a born alive intended for abortion baby should just die. This decision was made in February! The man has done nothing but denigrate his country and that's why he was chosen.

Murray sez:
History will show the prestige of this award to be greatly diminished, tarnished and an embarrassment to the world as Obama completes his destruction of the greatest democratic country ever and loses the war on terrorism. The previous awarding it to Gore on possibly fiction certainly devalued it and started it's demise.
Do you suppose if I proclaim I will end drug wars, settle all the world's disputes, cure cancer, end swine flu and get all countries to agree on a common goal that I would become a leading candidate for this prize BEFORE I accomplish any of the proclamations? Seems as if my chances would be good since it's now being awarded on what a person plans to do NOT on his/her accomplishments.

Murray--start smaller. Go for the academy award for the movie you haven't made. Then work up to important world events.

I'm going for this one, Chicago Illini of the year http://www.uiaa.org/awards/ciy.html
I don't live there and have had no positive impact on the city, but I visited a few years ago and I did graduate from the C-U campus, and I'm still living. I'm at least as close as Obama is to bringing peace.
