States in budget crisis--WaPo catches on

Better late than never--Washington Post finally realizes that union pensions are unsustainable. Whether it realizes these protests are about union survivals and not teachers' wages and benefits isn't clear, but at least they seem to realize they need to report SOMETHING!

Alaska, Arkansas and North Dakota are the only states without a budget shortfall. Illinois seems to be in the worst shape, at least in percentage. Now what was that again about the crazy Sarah Palin?

This is easy reading. You will find it informative. It takes courage to seek facts. Good luck.

Perhaps I should have made my suggestion clearer, I encourage you to read the full article posted by a respected historian in my home town:

He may be respected among progressives, but his arguments don't impress me. The left has thrown so much money at candidates and issues in the last 2-3 decades, that when they start whining about the Koch brothers piddling investment in another way, one really has to smile. His sources also tell his biases--HuffPo, NYT, Progressivestates, etc. But thanks for the links. Progressives in both parties have controlled the government for a century--it won't be turned around with one election, especially with all the RINOs and liberals in the Republican party, but at least let us get a toe hold before you panic.
