They showed no interest in it during the Biden years, so right there is your clue. It's only being used to divide and you're falling for it again. I don't care if Tucker or Kirk or Kelly or Bannon or Bongino are chattering and unhappy. Get over it.

Rape as a weapon of war

Rape.

As a "community," American feminists are a huge fail. They are narrow minded, self-centered, and duplicitous. Begin with the Squad in Congress, follow them with the Women's Studies mafia at the Universities then clean up on aisle 7 with the Hollywood aging celebs digging up dirt on men they chased during their failed careers. Silence in the case of rape as a weapon of war really is violence, unlike using the wrong pronoun.

It's almost two months since the October 7 massacre in Israel. The U.N. virtue signalers (many women) who can make all sorts of pronouncements and create documents about a fraction of a degree in temperature, have been much too busy preening to condemn the rape of women and children, not by the military, but by Palestinian civilians. It's disgusting. I'm ashamed of all those who say they fight for women, from AOC and Tlaib in D.C. to the motley crew and noisy gaggle in the U.N.
Israeli women are making waves, but even they don't say anything about rape as a war weapon in Sudan and Ethiopia, where some estimates are that 70% of the women have been kidnapped for sex or raped and left to fend for themselves as the men are killed.

I'm sorry to provide such a biased link (pro-Hamas), but it's the only one I found which even had a small paragraph about rape as a war weapon being addressed by U.N. It may be my search skills or Big Tech algorithms.

Rape as a military weapon to terrorize civilians

Last night I was reading an investment report which referred to 2 wars--one in Europe and one in the Middle East. And self said, what about Africa? What about South Sudan, Sudan, and Ethiopia? Millions of people, don't they count? So, I started looking at other news sources. South Sudan seems to be holding in a weak cease fire; Sudan is going full-bore killing thousands and making millions refugees; and Ethiopia's problems--I get so confused with the tribal names and the government and non-government militia, I just had to give up. Although in Africa, it isn't skin color or religion, it's all about the tribes. All seem to be on the edge of a food crisis.

Then I came across the horror statistics about rape. I don't remember if it was South Sudan or Sudan but the figure was 70% of the women had been raped as part of war booty--the soldiers are paid with whatever they can loot or steal and permission to rape and torture.

One of the illustrations (journalists try to bring horror down to a manageable level) was about a young woman who had used her college holiday to travel back to her home village, and got caught in one of the raids. Her parents and grandparents were killed, and she was taken hostage and held in a slimy snake filled pit and raped every day. Finally, she was starving so they just expelled her from the camp to make her way back home. And she survived (although these women are usually not accepted back into community). In what she calls a blessing, she learned she was pregnant, and had her baby, who is the delight, love and hope of her life. With the help of other disgraced women who have banded together, she hopes to earn enough to return to college and make a life for herself and her child.

Please vote for life today, November 7, 2023, if you're reading this in Ohio. Vote NO on Issue One to change Ohio's constitution, a bill which is far beyond what most Pro-Choice voters can imagine, and they don't even realize it. They are believing lies. Many call themselves Christians. I know some of them. I grieve.

Steve Kings remark on rape and incest

Democrat media are trying to portray Steve King's comment on family trees as excusing rape and incest. Not at all. It's just a fact. History, not emotion, and Democrats hate that. He's simply saying those children are a part of the human race, part of us, regardless of the sins of their mothers and fathers. If you chopped off all those branches in your family tree, you'd have a stump. The current craze for DNA family searches has shown that many people do not have the fathers (usually) or family they imagined. Many family genealogies have "aunts" who were actually the mother, or an uncle, grandfather or cousin who were the father. But there it is--in the census and the insert in the Bible record. I used to be part of an e-mail genealogy group, and was amazed at the stories I read of old family secrets before the DNA tests. . . one I recall was a man impregnating his wife's younger sister and her being hidden, then married off and whisked out of state then languishing in a mental institution and the child given away. Democrats see that as immoral, but not aborting a person who might grow up to be a very ordinary citizen, or a very exceptional scientist is OK.

Civilian populations, particularly women, suffered greatly in wars going back centuries, and in Latin class we translated the "Rape of the Sabine Women." You can call it "abduction," but they helped populate Rome. American Indians did the same thing.  Muslims tried and almost succeeded in taking over Christian Europe, but over time turned whole populations Muslim. Africans were exported all over the world mostly to South America (only 6% came to North America) to be slaves. Or more recently in this century, when many of the young Nigerian Christian school girls were freed from Boko Haram--many were pregnant or carrying toddlers.

Just because we have Planned Parenthood clinics down the street or across town in a black or low income neighborhood, doesn't mean we're free of this. Democrats are the ones saying only certain lives matter--the ones in our party, our victims--not your party or your victims. They are the ones pushing eugenics and selling body parts. Democrats for decades have said most children conceived outside and some inside marriage are not worthy if they are inconvenient, a source of shame or disabled.

Look back a few years, decades or centuries, and you'll find this in your own family tree.

Cold case solved through DNA

Dan Flynn of American Spectator reports in today’s email:

“Middlesex County, Massachusetts, authorities solved a half-century old murder-rape case through DNA. The news chills in that on Saturday I drove on the street where the murder took place and walked with my kids where the victim skated with a boyfriend just prior to it. Everything looked pretty peaceful in 2018. In 1969—not so much.

In the years since Michael Sumpter raped and murdered 23-year-old Harvard University grad student Jane Britton, Sumpter raped and murdered 24-year-old Mary McClain and raped and murdered 23-year-old Ellen Rutchick. We discovered all this after his death. The authorities did convict him of a 1975 rape on a woman (Do you think he regretted not murdering her?). But then the administration of Michael Dukakis allowed him out of prison on work release in 1985. Guess what he did. Yes, he escaped the program and raped a woman—two years before Willie Horton did something very similar. In 2000, the state let Sumpter out of prison because he suffered from cancer. He died 13 months after his release, presumably without raping anyone else.

How marvelous that the authorities can use technology to solve cold cases. Too bad they cannot use common sense from preventing them from happening in the first place.”

No mention in the press release of the work release program that put him on the streets to rape and kill more women.

Second wave feminism and assault

Forty-five years ago I'd occasionally attend a "consciousness raising" group during the blossoming of second wave feminism. I wrote book reviews for a female publication put out by some OSU librarian-feminists. Women studies departments were being developed to capitalize on the interest. It was the era of “women’s lib.”  I don't recall the homes exactly, but they were in the OSU campus area. And were at night!  Sitting on the floor with our arms wrapped around legs seemed to be required, even if there was a free chair in the room. I may have attended with a woman in my neighborhood who was unhappy in her marriage to a professor, and later abandoned husband and children to go east and find herself. At least I can’t imagine I was so foolish to go into that area at night alone.  I think her name was Laura.

Even with a Russian major and all those Soviet history and literature courses I had, I didn't connect the dots between feminism and Marxism until much later when the movement leaders began dividing up women by black/white, gay/straight, young/old. At these meetings women would talk about their sadness at dashed dreams, boredom with being a stay at home mom, disappointment with career choices, anger with parents, boyfriends or husbands for not understanding. Heady stuff.

Not once did I ever hear a woman say she'd been assaulted, raped, or even abused. That’s not to say it wasn’t happening, just that no one said anything if it was.

University of Virginia fraternity cleared; Rolling Stone and President Sullivan still guilty until they try to make things right

The fraternity accused of gang rape in the irresponsible Rolling Stone article has been cleared by the Charlottesville Police Department of wrongdoing and has been reinstated by the University of Virginia.

If Teresa Sullivan UVA president doesn't apologize, she'll make women administrators look like knee jerk jerks. She is supposed to be president of all the students and faculty, not just special interests.

A leftist commentator, in a major newspaper, writing flat out- the truth of the Rolling Stone story of a hideous gang rape at UVA doesn't matter.The individuals falsely accused don't matter. The University and administrators defamed in the piece don't matter.

It's the cause that matters. Only the cause. Always the cause.

This thinking dictates we must believe every and all accusations of rape, right away, without questioning or investigating. That's not an overstatement, read the piece and you will see an incoherent but fervent attack on the presumption of innocence as a principle. And written by a lawyer no less!

She is not alone, by the way. Other commentators have somehow perversely turned this into a case of "rape denialism." First off, I'm not sure that's even a thing, because rape is a serious criminal violation in every state and nobody anywhere in this country denies that it exists, and it happens far too often. One rape is too many.

But denialism? If something is said to be true, and it isnt, are we to say its true anyway, lest we be denialers? This is absurd.

Are there "murder denialists?" If someone wrote a story about how a fraternity was engaging in ritualized human sacrifice and stacking dead bodies in its basement, without anyone who noticed caring enough to call the cops- I think it would raise some eyebrows and strain believability. At a minimum, it would require investigation.

This isn't "denialism," it's rationality.

Which brings us to the next point of the bitter enders on the Left here- that the entire onus of everything wrong in this whole situation is on Rolling Stone. That's just simply not true.

Did a Rolling Stone reporter find a far too convenient, one-in-a-million story with the sort of sensational implications that would get national attention? Yup. Did that reporter then fail to uphold even the most rudimentary standards of journalism in a rush to publish something that should have required additional levels of fact-checking and even more vigilant journalistic ethics?Indeed.

But Rolling Stone isn't the only party at fault here. Despite the shrill (and in the case of MSNBC's Chris Hayes twitter tirade- childishly profane) effort to place this all on a magazine that would have ceased to exist in a rational world many years ago, there is the very real possibility that the subject of the story-- "Jackie"- lied.

That doesn't mean she fabricated the whole thing, although that is entirely possible, but she did apparently get facts wrong. Not jumbled, not vague- wrong. And that's apart from the basic credulity issues surrounding all this.

Nobody downstairs at the fraternity house was unnerved enough by the site of a woman covered in blood, bruises, and broken glass to do anything? None of her friends cared? No administrator called the police? Didn't tell her parents? Not a single, honorable person is to be found anywhere at UVA or anywhere in this story?

Of course, this is what got the story so much attention. In a country where the sexual assault scourge on campus is well-established and now even has the White House involved, this story was an outlier. Nobody had ever heard of an attack like this at a major university with such callous responses from so many.

And now those in the media who were willing to use the most baseless slurs- "rape apologists"- against anyone who questioned this outlandish narrative want to tell us all that something still happened to Jackie. It's not her fault. Maybe she got foggy, or maybe she exaggerated a little because of the trauma.

(How do they know this, by the way? Any of it? Aren't they relying on a retracted magazine piece for all of their facts too?)

But even a material exaggeration of facts in a sexual assault is problematic (and under oath, would be perjury). If someone punches me in the face at a bar, that's assault. I can't just decide to add that brass knuckles were used, and I was also robbed, in order to make the assailant seem worse and get more time. In a criminal court, the details of the crime have very real implications for the charges brought, and the length of sentence. It's not ok to intentionally get creative or exaggerate a crime, no matter how much catharsis it may give a victim.

This is all starting to feel very much like the Duke Lacrosse case of 2006- another story that to an honest reader from the beginning seemed very, very improbable, but it turned into a national media sensation anyway. "Race, class, sex, and privilege"- that was the story. And it was all a big, fat, grotesque lie.

And if you recall, the disgraced, almost comically evil prosecutor in that case- Mike Nifong- still would claim that "something happened that" after the accused lacrosse players were said by the state of North Carolina to be completely innocent! Not "not guilty," but "innocent!"

It seems the Nifong effect is on display now. Rolling Stone is disgraced, the entire rape story may have been a fabrication, and there are Leftists who think that those who questioned the initial story- even though they were right to do so- are somehow the real problem.

The truth always matters. There is no cause that can make the truth irrelevant. The Left is dead wrong on all this, but don't expect them to admit it anytime soon.

Intimate partner violence among minorities

Black females experienced intimate partner violence at a rate 35% higher than that of white females, and about 22 times the rate of women of other races. Black males experienced intimate partner violence at a rate about 62% higher than that of white males and about 22 times the rate of men of other races.

Native Americans are victims of rape or sexual assault at more than double the rate of other racial groups. For Native American victims of violence, the offender was slightly more likely to be a stranger than an intimate partner, family member or acquaintance.  Native Americans described the offender as an acquaintance in 34% of rapes/sexual assaults, and as an intimate partner or family member in 25% of sexual assaults.

Glenn Beck’s monologue about rape statistics

The anti-Beck forces were out saying his producer and side-kick Stu was ridiculing the seriousness of rape, when in fact  he was questioning the phony rape statistics recently published for political reasons (need to hang on the female vote?). Most rapes happen to men, and on today’s radio show Glenn talks about how his father was raped as a young man. He’s irate that truth has been cheapened in this latest study about rape where feeling pressured or feeling sorry is equated with rape.

I don’t give a flying crap how you got there, as long as you got there, to 4. Global warming is not the same as global cooling or global climate change, which is different than global climate crisis and none of them have to do with the shootings in Chicago or the idea of regulating the very vapor that we as humans breathe out, that we all learn trees breathe in to grow. That is just as ridiculous as your straight face plan to now regulate cow farts.

Military sexual assaults

Most sexual assaults in the military are male on male. NYT made a big step by reporting this, but completely gives gay perps a pass either by referring to them as "self identified" heterosexuals, or not mentioning them at all, and blaming homophobia as the reason it's not reported. Needs a bit more serious research or we'll never see anyone charged, only victims treated.

Call Boxes, Whistles and vomit don’t help during a rape

Tonight Glenn Beck interviewed five women who had been raped.

**One was in a church parking lot at noon putting her two children in their car seats; he hit her with a brick and raped her in front of her children. 

**One was in a parking garage and had walked there with friends in a group.  She said if a call box had been above her head, it wouldn’t have helped.  The campus was a  “safe zone.”  She could see the campus police station—it was closed.

**One was in her own home, in bed asleep with a roommate in the next room who didn’t hear it.

**One experienced date rape after her drink was drugged. 

**One was jogging and was attacked from behind and dragged into a woods. She was raped for six hours, and afterwards he carefully cleaned her up to destroy any evidence.

Only one of the five actually had a concealed carry permit, but she was in a gun free zone (she was law abiding) and didn’t have the gun; but the rapist had a gun and raped her. Maybe she couldn’t have stopped it, but he went on to rape other women and even murdered one.  One woman said she was within 50 ft. of a police car.  Another said she could smell bacon frying in a near by house.  There was no one to call; no one to help.

These were the lucky ones—they weren’t killed. All own guns now. Four of the five rapists are in jail—one isn’t.  He’s out there.  Rape is not about sex, it’s about power, and it’s about evil.  The mother with 2 children said only 3% of rapists ever go to jail—and they know it.  Twenty years ago a woman was raped every 6 minutes said the jogger about her experience; now it’s every 2 minutes.

Call boxes don’t work. Closed police stations can’t help.  They are no match for a knife or gun. All the women thought Democratic Senator Salazar was a sexist who ridiculed women’s ability to protect themselves ( “if you feel like someone’s been following you around or if you feel like you’re in trouble and when you may actually not be, that you pop out that gun and you pop — pop a round at somebody”) and denied the reality of the dangers rapists present for women.

Why is it a War on Women if taxpayers don’t want to pay for free contraception,  but not a War against Women to deny them the right to protect themselves? How does making one woman defenseless protect another woman against a violent crime?

A cemetery where your tax dollars are buried

Have you ever visited Cyber Cemetery in Texas? What an amazing place. It's where old government reports go to be forgotten and die.

There are some very interesting reports buried alive in this cemetery. And we paid for them. There's probably no greater waste of time and money than being appointed to a government task force. Before I realized that the report had to have been completed according to its charge or law, I looked for Obamacare (zero) and then tried Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (zero). There is a Citizens' Health Care Working Group Final Recommendations dated 2006 commissioned in 2005. Could be a blue print for the overblown, bloated Obamacare 2,300 page bill that no one in Congress read but passed in March 2010.

The 2001 Social Security Commission, a big issue for President Bush, has many buried reports in this cemetery. The 9/11 attacks sort of bumped that off the domestic agenda.

Then after browsing by date, I saw that there was only one report completed in 2009. Considering the number of programs, regulations, and committee reports railroaded through the Obama Administration I thought that a bit light, but perhaps the librarians are behind in their cataloging. Need some ARRA money, maybe.

That final report was the 2003 Prison Rape Elimination Act and because none of the links did anything but loop and lie, I went into the WaPo archives which announced it's final report. It seems that 60,500 (approximate number) men are raped in prison each year, some on very short mild sentences and very young, but who are so traumatized they don't report it. Happens in the homosexual community too, but again, most male on male rapes are not reported.

So it appears that something else needs to come out of the closet, gay violence. For every gay man who is harrassed, teased, or taunted as reported in the media, there must be hundreds who are physically and sexually assaulted by other gays with no consequences and no publicity.

Would you call this a hate crime?

"Richmond, California (CNN) -- Investigators say as many as 20 people were involved in or stood and watched the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl outside a California high school homecoming dance Saturday night.

Police posted a $20,000 reward Tuesday for anyone who comes to them with information that helps arrest and convict those involved in what authorities describe as a 2½-hour assault on the Richmond High School campus in suburban San Francisco."

I only ask if it's a hate crime, because we know unless she's a lesbian, it won't be called that. Singling out some forms of evil as "hate" because the victims are members of a specific, protected group is just dumb and intended to increase tensions between groups. I don't know if the victim was black, white or Hispanic (the two female friends of the victim who spoke at a news conference about it were white), but we know if she were an African American and the attackers white, it would be called a hate crime. I think the "boys" are all Hispanic and black (some have been identified and charged as adults; photos showed relatives).

Why was Charles Davis, Jr. on parole

It infuriates me that the press and public can go bonkers over consentual gay sex (if the story is about a Republican or a pastor) but virtually ignore the horrific crimes against women and girls (that don't happen in Aruba or California). This week in the Columbus papers it was reported that Charles S. Davis,Jr. "could get" 89.5 years for raping and terrorizing a teen age girl he kidnapped on her way to a high school game. But he was on parole for a similar crime committed in 1997! Who are the judges, lawyers and members of the parole board who let this creep out to do the same crime again? Why aren't those legal nitwits being investigated on national TV?

"Davis was on parole for the 1997 rape of a Columbus teenager when he abducted a 15-year-old Columbus girl in January and raped her repeatedly in the basement of an apartment complex on Chesterfield Court.

He cut the girl with a broken bottle but begged her to be his girlfriend, prosecutors said. The rape followed the same pattern as the 1997 attack.

Davis was sentenced to seven years in prison for that crime. After he was released in 2004, he was in and out of jail for failing to live where he was registered, on Bay Run Drive on the West Side." [Columbus Dispatch, Nov. 1]

And then there's the unhappy husband from Columbus, Mike Henslee, who lied about his wife's disappearance (reported by her family, not him) and finally admitted he killed her and led authorities to her body this week in Dayton, about 100 miles away. But he got his 10 minutes of fame in a public press conference where he accused her of being unfaithful and said he had an "anger management problem." Her friends said she was the classic battered wife. She had filed for protection against him in August. The violence against her increased when she decided to go back to college, according to her family. "The charges against [Harry Michael "Mike"] Henslee carry a mandatory sentence of 15 years to life." Whoopee--15 years for terrorizing her for years, murdering her, and hiding the body in Dayton.
