How the election of a black President will help black Africans

The United States of America now has what no other country in the world has, a democratically elected black leader of a free, constitutional republic. Europeans, the descendants of the slavers who purchased black Africans from the Arab Africans to be shipped to the "new world," can claim no African or even mixed race leaders; Africa can claim no free democracies (with the exception of Botswana which seems to be a model which all Africa could look to). Kenya had looked hopeful until Obama's cousin Odinga's followers massacred a few thousand after losing an election.

With his plans to destroy our current sources of energy--coal, gas and oil--his plans to raise taxes on successful small business, his plans to strengthen unions while discouraging business growth, his plans to bring the corrupt ACORN to the top (they are already at the table), his plans to allow millions more to flood our borders to bankrupt our social systems, his plans to shut down opposition in the press and airways, and his plans to reduce the military, the USA will be so weak that there will be nothing left over for the bailouts and food subsidies through various ill-advised and poorly planned NGO and government aid to African dictators and monarchs. Much of our aid simply destroyed African markets, however well intentioned. Other, initiative and ambition. Since none of this has helped Africa in 50-60 years, indeed has kept the former European colonies in a perpetual stage of adolescence, the reduction of American aid (and European, particularly France) to shore up weak leaders and economies in Africa will in the long run help Africa. It's the least he can do for change.

Woman, you're completely delusional. After eight years of the worst mismanagement this country has ever had, we're finally going to have a responsible, clear-headed adult in charge. It's a great day!

What is delusional is reading a blog about Obama's plans and then launching a fantasy about a "responsible, clear-headed adult" and never addressing a single thing she said.

Thanks. I can handle it anon#2.

Anon #1, you may wish to browse, with an open mind, my complete works on the marxist you've elected as ruler of the no-longer free world.

The complete Obama

And in summary, let's see if he'll ever even come close to a real adult:
1. George W. Bush is right to keep his very talented, beautiful, smart, librarian wife at his side, in the sidelines, and in the bleachers cheering him on, supporting him, but not making policy.
2. George Bush was the right man to lead us calmly out of the chaos that followed 9/11.
3. George Bush was right to cut taxes to release money for investing in the U.S. economy, thereby helping American workers and the global economy both, strengthening us all around.
4. George Bush was right to veto the huge SCHIP increases last fall, leaving the dismantling of private health insurance to be on the conscience of the Democrats.
5. He was right to invade Iraq and remove Saddam from power and to free millions of Afghans from the control of the Al-Qaeda.
6. Bush was never better than in his choices of John Roberts and Samuel Alito for Supreme Court.
7. George Bush was right about stem cell research. He rescued our nation from a worse ethical dilemma and battle than abortion and slavery, earlier versions of devaluing life in our history.
8. Morally, he was right to be concerned about our schools failing so many of our children, leaving millions of kids behind and unable to function in our technological society. God knows, the teachers’ unions haven’t accomplished it.
9. Morally, he was right to try to fix the horrible 1986 law that allowed a social experiment of the 1960s--the belief that too many Europeans and white people were immigrating and we needed more brown, black and Asian to be "fair."
10. Morally and spiritually, he was right to want to reach out to Democrats to unite the people and heal all the hostility of the Clinton years in the 1990s. We heard Obama preaching the same sermon--let‘s see if he can do it.
11. Economically and morally, he was right to try to fix Social Security, even as his own party gave him little support and caused his good intentions to fail.

Watch for white-guilt to continue its European-style self-destruction - reparations bills in Congress, "official apologies", concessions to Islam/sharia law, relaxation (if such were possible) of immigration restrictions (including HIV status), hate laws/restrictions of free speech with prosecution of opinion (e.g. Mark Steyn and the Canadian Human Rights Commisions), &c, &c, ad nauseum.

Oh, and so it begins...

South Africa also has a democratically elected President. That country has problems at present but will come right eventually. There were parties in the streets of South Africa last night. The upside is that Obama will inspire many young blacks to strive for more. The downside - well there are more than one sadly but we'll survive.

PS The last library cat (also a ginger tabby) I knew was in the library in the village in South Africa in which I was born and raised.
