Tony's Ready to Move the Party from Las Vegas to Los Angeles with the purchase of a Hollywood Hills Vacation Home

I love to watch HGTV--programs are "reality shows" just a tad unreal if you've ever owned, remodeled or purchased a house, but they are fast paced, well-produced, and the advertising is appropriate for the programming. Some times I yell at the set--especially when a young woman is buying a home and planning to be a landlord to her boyfriend of 3 years. Oh lordy lady, how dumb can you get? If you break up, you may not be able to move him out of the house without legal action.

But last night they had the story of Tony Chau of Las Vegas on House Hunters buying a second home in Hollywood. He is a Vietnamese immigrant (name sounds Chinese to me, but there are Chinese families living in Vietnam, called Hoa ), but came to the USA at age 10 and is now 26 and a millionaire. He has some sort of marketing company on the internet. He was house hunting with his decorator who has done several houses for him. What he ended up with was fabulous--and we heard several times during the program how much he likes to party. Well, maybe so, but I do like success stories about immigrants because they are visible, physical evidence that America is still the land of opportunity and dreams if you want to work hard and have a marketable skill.

Hi I also watched HGTV show on Tony. They never say what type of Internet Marketing he does? or name of his company. Just curious what company name is called?

Most HGTV programs are pretty cagey about not revealing details about the participants, and I think they have to sign a confidentiality agreement about how the shows are actually done.

I watched it too and it made me yell at the TV. He said he wanted to change things for his family, but they never hinted at if he had. I hope he has provided for them in addition to buying himself party-pads and fast cars.

Of course I'm just jealous. :)

This blog entry has had almost 40 hits since I uploaded it. I think there are a lot of people looking for Tony to see how he did it. I wonder of HGTV even uses people's real names?

Yeah, I was so curious about how he made his millions but I couldn't find any information. Neat story though. Good post.

We watched this episode as well. I think they deliberately do not tell you every detail about the people to protect them. I also understand they look at MANY homes (on House Hunters) and the show just shows the one they pick and two other they liked. Yes, they are reality shows in the true sense of the word but NOT like "Survivor" and those types of shows.

watched this and wanted to know what this dude does. He's a 26 year old millionaire in "imports/exports" from Las Vegas and loves to party and is moving from LV to LA...

He's got to be a dealer.

Seriously. Dealer.

I found the house: 2212 Laurel Canyon Blvd.
It'll be cool to see what it looks like after the renovations to the exterior.

He is in the jewelry business.

Hey, I was looking for information on Tony Chau myself. I was wondering what he did to make his money. I found one of his websites here: http://www.richslum.com/ and it looks like a make money online site. He also has a few sports betting sites from the looks of it. Hope that helps!

Anonymous said...

His company is found here:
www.richslum.com

And it's all internet based.

Anonymous said...

www.richslum.com does not have a very high ranking at Alexa.com and there is not data on it at Compete.com and Quantcast.com

In other words, he made his money somewhere else and not on www.richslum.com

I was interested about his occupation as well after watching the show. I assumed he was a singer back in Asia. I missed the beginning of the show.

I really wanna know what kind of internet marketing he does, because I do the same thing..except I'm not a millionaire like him! :-(

He is a fake 100%. Tony Chau is John Morrison and his website is www.sportsbettingchamp.com. I know this because I used to be friends with him.

Anonymous said...

He stole this betting system from Chad Smith who operates www.sportsbettingstar.com. John Morrison AkaTomy Chao is a fraud

Anonymous said...

I heard he stole it from some guy on eBay either way his betting records he posts are bogus Don't buy John morrisons Aka Tony chau bettingsystem. It's no good

HGTV must have shown it again. My site meter is off the wall today. 94 of the last 100 were to this entry. 265 today alone.

Yes Norma they showed it again. I am in Network Marketing (kin to Internet Marketing) and enjoy being able to work from anywhere in the world. For those of you that watch House Hunters International also, there are times when you see folks buying 2nd homes oversees because they have Network Marketing businesses that you can do from anywhere in the world. There are upfront investment costs in whatever product you chose...but hundreds to a thousand...NOT the thousands most upstart businesses cost. Best investment I ever made! But I thought it remarkable that at 22 (he said early 20's and now he's 26) he was making an annual 7 figure salary in Internet Marketing. I have met many and my own sponsor has made hundreds of thousand per year - but it takes 3-5 years of solid hard work. So, it could be...but very rare at that age. When I saw him at the gambling tables - I thought a gambling website MIGHT have been more the truth. Funny you remarked on him initially...did you even think at the time that you would engender so much interest in this guy. However, I am here to tell everyone - YES, the American Dream can still be alive for people willing to work hard 2-5 years for residual income that has long term benefits. Look into Network Marketing, currently the fastest growing business model in the world today. Unfortunately, most people are afraid to jump in or don't want to do what it takes.

I'm in "Internet Marketing" also and a huge fan of HGTV. On his Richslum or whatever site... the primary way he claims to have made 1.1M is from his Clickbank accounts. Clickbank is a world renown "Affiliate" marketing site where you can basically find thousands of products (mostly digital, like e-books, etc) to promote and sell...off of which you make an escalating commission - very similar to Amazon's pioneering affiliate program, which some believe ushered this type of marketing into the mainstream. Sooooo with that being said...IF that is the primary or initial thing he does or did then it's totally valid that he could've made that much that soon. I did it in just over a year...and a friend did $8M in his 3rd year. It's just a SUPER hard, sometimes shady, over saturated business. But that's what affiliate marketing is for those of you wondering what he probably does (other than the betting sites).

Oh and now that it is becoming more and more known by the mainstream...my guess is that the potential of this particular industry will greatly decline (even if it's merely the learning curve to earnings margin ratio) by the time anyone manages to learn enough to get into it. I just decided to get out and focus my efforts elsewhere. Just a heads up...don't mean to be discouraging at all. It's NOT an over night success business like some would have you believe....unless you're incredibly smart at programming, marketing or finance...or well connected, or know someone actually in the biz or have a lot of money to throw at it in order to figure it out quickly. I would want someone to have told me, but I had to learn this while industry on my own and I still feel like a newbie most days. Take care.

Tony is buying a new house in chicago. Can't believe I cared enough to look this guy up to try & find out where this "kid" is getting all the money! Quite funny really, glad I found this site so I can get over it. Go find out which million $ view Tony's going to choose!

Anonymous said...

Haha I guess I'm just as nosey as everyone else, I had to look him up too lol

Anonymous said...

And now it's 2013, saw an episode of him buying a condo in NYC. I'm nosey as well. Lol

I bumped into him at las vegas 20$ buffet right by the sports betting at the hyatt. I asked him about his tv show, and he could barley carry a conversation. Very ackward wouldnt even look me in the eyes, and just mumbled and starred at the floor. Almost autistic. Def not the same guy on the tv show. I believe he is fraud as well

Everybody's calling this guy a scammer without having any idea what they're talking about. I bought his system 2 years ago before his site was seized, and I've turned $250 into just over $9,000. With no signs of slowing down. Want proof? Watch for the Wizards to cover the spread this weekend (starting 1/24)

Another winner. 1/24
Wizards beat the favored Suns 101-95. Scam?

I saw Tony on a recent HGTV renovating a condo hi-rise in Chicago. At the end, they said he'd gotten a new designer, split with his partner, and was enjoying Chicago. A spectacular renovation, btw.

This guys is the biggest scam artist in the sports betting industry. He scammed lot of poor people. I can't believe this pathetic scammer got on tv, i wonder if the networks know. He pretends to be some white guy, a cornel graduate and scams people with lies. He markets his stuff through click bank and he has 1000's of internet marketers promoting his scam (not knowing its scam) because the get affiliate commission. Now his scam got busted and his websites got seized by homeland security but i am not sure how he is still out walking... here is someone explaining his scam http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6H4MU_WyOSM

lot of people didnt know its scam because he manipulated all the search engines through seo optimization for all the keywords. for example, if you search for sportsbettingchamp review or john morrison review or if you use those terms with any other words (he covered a bunch of keywords)....all the fake reviews would come up in the first few pages of teh search engine...even if you search for is john morrison or is sportsbettingchamp scam, only fake reviews would come in the first pages. biggest scammer ever. i know handicapped people and seniors who lost their savings because of this scammer.

Tony Chau has been indicted by the IRS and FBI for using off shore money markets and for tax evasion. He is currently residing back in Las Vegas, has pleaded guilty and is awaiting sentencing. Guess he was up to no good and not the nice guy he portrayed himself to be...

I've been reading posts about him for a while. This is all old news now obviously. I've been following his systems for 3 years and crush at the MLB and NBA systems! No point in saying how much I'm up because no one will believe. I'm with you my man!

He was arrested for off shore gambling that millions of people do daily. Who cares. He sells cheap info that makes tons of people a lot of money.

These comments are so old and outdated. His systems have helped me as well as many of my friends who've I've recommended to. He has helped me overcome my financial situations. He may have plead guilty, nonetheless it doesn't change the fact that his systems have proven to be successful.

Hes a fraud. Just google his name or sports betting champ. He is not an immigrant success story. He is a fraudster.
