Praying for Kamala Harris

Today I prayed for Kamala Harris to become a Christian. Sin is sin and hers don't count any more than mine at the cross, but she has a lot more power. If Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a former Muslim and now a former atheist, can see the light, why not Harris? Join me.

Poland is taking in Ukrainian refugees

When Trump went to Poland in 2017 and praised that country for its culture, Christian history and outstanding citizens, Vox and other leftist media said Trump sounded like an alt-right manifesto. When Biden praises Ukraine for its brave people defending their culture, the leftists swoon. They lied about Trump every chance they had and praise Biden for sitting on his butt buying oil from Russia while Putin surrounded Ukraine.

It's not the cat, it's the culture

Yes, your cable news keepers and Big Tech will remind you that the Seuss Cat hasn't been censored or pulled from book stores and libraries. But when they went after Confederate generals we didn't know Lincoln, Columbus and Catholic saints were next.

  

The point is, slow learning moderate Democrats, the culture--whether you call that Western Civilization, Judeo-Christian,  cartoon characters, or plastic potatoes--must be declared racist, sexist or classist so that Marxism can make more inroads. You'll find it in the academic literature in obscure journals back in the 1990s. This is not a new idea. When the Cold War ended, it just heated up in the USA and Western Europe. Now we have a few generations of mind-numbed robot college grads taking the message to kindergartners and CEOs.

First, they came for only the Confederate statues. Then they came for our Founding Fathers, and now they’re coming after President Lincoln, General Grant, and even our Savior Jesus Christ. In case you don’t know what I’m referring to, last month Shaun King, who is a prominent voice in the Left’s Woke class, called for the removal of any statues of Christ with European features because, apparently, those too are now a symbol of white supremacy. As a minister, it pains me to see such an asinine and narrow view of the Messiah. Not only is it shortsighted, but Mr. King is missing the entire point of Christ; what he may or may not have looked like doesn’t matter, but his message about love and reconciliation with others does. Christ walked the earth 2,000 years ago. None of us can ever know what the Savior actually looked like. Logically, it’s reasonable that different cultures would depict Him in a way they would know. White Europeans aren’t any guiltier for depicting Jesus as a white European in Renaissance art than Africans or Asians are for portraying Him as an African or an Asian in their artwork. Moreover, the Messiah’s message has nothing to do with the pigmentation of one’s skin. In His time on earth, Jesus extended God’s love to both Jews and Gentiles; Samaritans, Romans, it didn’t matter. Furthermore, what Mr. King suggests is the next step on an already dangerous path. Statues of Christ are found on the grounds of churches, and churches are separate entities from the government (look it up, it’s in the Constitution). This means Mr. King wants his Antifa friends to trespass on private property to destroy other private property. I would be shocked, but these people see themselves as revolutionaries; they live by their own rules, and no amount of reasonable discourse will stop them. And if statues of Christ that look too white have to come down, how long will it be before statues of Abraham, Moses, or Jacob have to come down if they look too white? Does this mean Michelangelo’s historic sculpture of King David needs to be destroyed because it looks too white? How long will it be before any white statues come down, regardless of whether or not the person in question enforced white supremacy? I fear that last question is already being answered. We’ve already had a statue of General Grant ripped down. Didn’t he bring an end to the Civil War by forcing Robert E. Lee to surrender? He, if anyone, should have a thousand statues up for every one Confederate statue; Grant ended the war and saved the Union. But because he is a 19th century white man with a beard in a military uniform, he must come down! So say the misguided who ignore their own history. The statue of Teddy Roosevelt, one of the greatest conservationists in American history, is being removed from in front of the New York Museum of Natural History. The reason? Roosevelt is apparently more prominent than the adjacent statues of a Native American and African American. This must mean Roosevelt only stood for imperialism and the patriarchy, never mind the fact we would not have our national parks were it not for him. Oh, and he was the first president to entertain a black man for dinner in the White House, namely Booker T. Washington. The mob even wants to attack the legacy of Abraham Lincoln, without whom there would be no Emancipation Proclamation. The Emancipation Memorial, a statue of Lincoln helping a freed slave to his feet, has stood by the White House since 1876. The mob’s excuse for this one is that the statue endorses “white saviorism,” even though the statue was funded by ex-slaves. If they stopped screaming and listened for a moment, maybe the misguided young folks trying to trample President Lincoln’s legacy would realize this. If Mr. King and his ilk insist on this path of destruction, I ask him to remember that Christ’s message is about forgiveness. He and the Antifa thugs tearing our country apart will always have a chance to be forgiven, even as they try to erase our history. I hope he knows this. I will be praying for him to understand it. Indoctrination and mind control

As we are all distracted by marches, rioting and tearing down statues of emancipators and liberators, you should track down and object to the brainwashing your children and grandchildren are getting in schools and universities from the organizers and funding groups of BLM and ANTIFA.  Much of this preceded their existence and has been building in influence and power incrementally since the 1980s through diversity and inclusion programming. And now it’s a perfect storm.

I reviewed the indoctrination for Ohio State medical staff and found it appalling. It begins with a statement of fact (not theory, hypothesis or idea) that systemic racism exists and is a health crisis (OSU and Columbus have declared it a health problem which gets more grants from the federal government, the life line for all state universities). The solution is it must be destroyed through various manipulative and compulsory methods, and if you disagree or publish research to the contrary, you are a racist and part of the problem. No disagreement or alternate views allowed.

It essentially, invalidates all programs, changes, research, efforts and good will established or instilled since the 1964 Civil Rights Act, and our remarkable achievements unknown in the history of the world since outlawing slavery in our costliest war in blood and treasure of our history.

It also ignores the actual fact that there are 30-40 million slaves in the 21st century and suggests instead we focus on microaggression and unconscious bias instead of real pain, actual health problems and tragedy of millions, much of it still coming from Africa.

Rep. Steven King is being condemned

for defending Western Civilization.  The Republicans are actually the “stupid party” for letting the Democrats trap them.

The only white supremacists we’ve had in Congress were Democrats—like Robert Byrd, who was praised at his funeral/memorial by leading Democrats.  He actually was a member of the KKK, as was President (former Senator) Lyndon Johnson.

Democrats’ agenda on abortion kills more blacks in 4 days than their terrorist lynchings did in 80 years.

Thinking about Western Civilization

I listen to a Catholic call-in radio talk show, and in August I heard a question that sounded like the man had been to one of those “gaslighting” workshops where the audience is led to believe that western civilization, especially “white” people, has ruined the world (instead of being the gift it is in architecture, music, literature, economics, etc.). How it works: The presenter will move from broad strokes with snippets of truth buried in mountains of lies to the individuals in the room who have probably been forced to attend. They are then brainwashed about white privilege and micro aggression and made to feel responsible for the KKK, Jim Crow and police killing black criminals.

The gist was:  “Why are all the disciples’ names in the Bible, “white” when they all lived in the middle east? “ Yes, the  caller identified certain names, “white.”  I almost giggled when I heard it, except I know he probably didn’t come up with that on his own.  Dr. Anders, the host, was very kind and explained (and I paraphrase), “In the English translation, all the names are anglicized, translated from the Latin and Greek, which were Hellenized from the Aramaic or Hebrew, the original language Jesus and his disciples spoke.  Peter is Pedro in Spanish, and Pierre in French, but it was Kephas or Cephas (stone, rock) in Aramaic, and Petros (rock, stone) in Greek and Petra in Latin (stone, rock).”  

However, the mistake the caller made is one many make when they read or hear a name and make assumptions about race, religion or sex, so I won’t fault him for being misled—if that is what happened.

Democrats used to admire accomplishments of the West and Western Civilization.  Why is it so offensive to admire our country?  Symphonies are "white nationalism?" Liberals seem to think so.

Anti-white microaggression by the left

I came across a blog today that had good information, but labeled itself, "pro-white." That's a bit off-putting, isn't it? That's knee-jerk bias, ON MY PART, because I frequently come across pro-black, or pro-gay, pro-Catholic, or pro-woman blogs that openingly report from a biased point of view and I don't discount their views.

It's leftist microaggression that eats away at the fabric of our society--making everyone victims, spreading bigotry and hatred. Hatred of Christianity is at the root of socialism, and most of our Founders were European Christians or their descendants. They had the audacity to tell citizens they didn't need to worship the government or a King. Destroy the family and religion so government has no competition for loyalties, that's the point of the hatred they sow. 

It's on the TV news, opinion shows, internet social media--hate white Christians, dump Shakespeare because he's a dead white male, keep whites out of meetings, don't let white men or women speak at graduation, and teachers can't teach if they are white. Even Condi Rice is an honorary white because she's a Republican. If Muslims are bad, then Christians must be worse because they fought back their armies and religion a thousand years ago. After the Orlando tragedy, lefties came out of the woodwork to blame Christians because there were two protected groups, gays and Muslims, so the only logical thing for a liberal to do was blame Christians.

Lots, and lots of hatred. I haven't yet heard Omar Mateen called a white man, but since that's how the Census labels him, I'm sure it's out there in a hate message by ‪#‎Occupy‬ Someone's Mind or ‪#‎blacklivesmatter‬.
