Who actually won? Not the Democrats.

People are saying the Republicans lost. If so then the "winners" in addition to being burdened with 40 years as anti-life baby killers, can now proudly carry the banner of anti-Semitic, anti-Israel, anti-science and anti-woman. In addition to the higher health care costs caused by Obama's policies 10 years ago, they now look forward to longer wait times at medical offices, assuming they can even find a doctor (except those removing non-diseased genitals in children). They don't even know what Communists did to agriculture in Russia and China.  They can return to being pro-fraud and don't even care if they are over-taxed so illegals can get rich and they can again feel self-righteous and virtuous to compensate for the self-loathing they feel for their race and ethnicity. They live in denial and are being held hostage by Islamofascists. They are completely ignorant about Communism and OK with shortages as their "leaders" live in the lap of luxury. They seem to love being called white supremacists and fascists and fight to move down on the ladder of excellence, preferring mediocrity and ignorant of history. Nope. They don't look like winners to me. Other than "get Trump" they haven't a single original thought, idea or value. They killed their own party.

About virtue signaling yard signs

A gentle reminder. Lakeside is a respite, or could be, from the aches and ills of the pandemic and 24/7 politics. Our Association rules are quite clear about signs and advertising, rule 1.9, p. 115 of the current LOPA Directory. Not only are political belief signs not permitted except before an election (i.e. not during the season), but they are off-putting to neighbors, guests, and renters no matter how clever by half.

BLM and ANTIFA attack Democrat controlled cities

It's a no brainer why the anarchists (BLM and ANTIFA) began their rages in Democrat controlled cities. They attacked the very people most likely to support their movement. Why? They knew they'd get the least resistance, the weakest mayors, and the highest crime rates where the people have the greatest encounters with police. With a victim rate 6x that of whites, the blacks in Minneapolis, Chicago, St. Louis, and other major cities it would be easy to encourage disaffected, recently unemployed youth to loot and riot, while virtue signaling white liberals would just stand around and wave signs.

The mayor of Columbus asked for (June 1) photos or videos of Columbus police over reacting to the rioters when they attacked the police.  Has he asked for videos of the rioters and looters destroying businesses and vandalizing public property so they can be arrested? Has he thought of a plan to protect residents and business owners when he doesn't have support of the police?  He ran unopposed for his 2nd term on "justice, change and reform," so why so late to the gate?

Google employees are demanding that Google drop police as clients of its technology. Now, what percentage of Google employees do you suppose is minority? Two, maybe three?  Well, the trick is with H1B1 visas, a lot of corporations and universities get to "count" internationals as minorities (for some odd reason we're taught to look at skin color), therefore skipping right over any responsibility to bring up American born minorities in house.  Nice trick.  Then turn on American police with minority citizens on staff who are the protectors of black and brown neighborhoods?  Seems like a strange demand from "employees," doesn't it?

BLM is lavishly well funded by white, left wing extremists, and they are infiltrating iconic American corporations--who by the way, also have global interests. Capitalists and Marxists cooperating. Big Tech has been using its profits to "promote" racial justice, except in hiring American blacks.

Follow the money

The SECOND most important reason for Democrats to demand "Medicare for All" or "single payer" (government) insurance is that $300 Billion exemption employers get for insuring their workers with a quality product tailored to their needs. Democrats believe that exemption is a "loophole" and really belongs to them to pass around to their friends so they can stay in office. The government actually built this odd system after WWII when it imposed controls on wages, and employers added benefits to get the best employees.

The first reason and biggest is control over your life choices and third is your health data which can be sold to the highest bidder.

Fourth is the victimhood mentality that has been pounded into minds of mush since the 1970s in public schools and higher education. It's a vote getter. It's more apparent in Gen-X and Millennials than Boomers, and almost unknown in my generation. In that mind set, it isn't fair that Whole Foods shoppers have better insurance than Walmart shoppers, even though the WF shopper is a "virtue signaler," better educated and well paid, and looks down on the schlubs who shop at Walmart, clean their homes and keep their toilets and automobiles running. In a "fair" world, everyone would only shop at Walmart and Whole Foods wouldn't exist. Choice wouldn't exist.

The signs of Lakeside

These signs are political, but those who host them in front of their cottages refuse to call them that. For thousands of years the sign of the rainbow was about God's covenant with Noah, a reminder of His faithfulness. In recent years it's lost that meaning as it has been politicized and used for the LGBTQ agenda. When CEOs or college presidents are fired for saying “all lives matter,” which is Jesus’ message, when business people who believe in God’s plan for marriage are sued or threatened, when the science doesn’t matter and isn't real if it’s biology instead of climate, then, yes, the message is political.

 I am pro-life, which is also Biblical, which is loving our weakest and most helpless neighbor, but if I had a poster of an aborted baby or a pro-life message in front of my Lakeside cottage, someone would be offended and say abortion is a political issue.

 

There's not much in that first sign that is Biblical.   Women are glorified in the Bible--Mary, the mother of God, the women disciples who were the first to tell the Good News to doubting men,  the Proverbs 31  woman, the women who either saved or raised Moses--not much about "rights" at all--only service to others and to God, especially procreation,  and not promoting oneself as special.

All science is based on God's  truth, not fantasy, carbon taxes, and red tape to strangle business. The Bible does promote biology as truth, and not a word that humans control earth's destiny--except as caretakers. All lives matter to Jesus, but that phrase can get you fired if you say it.

Yes, we have no life without water, Lake Erie was formed by a melting glacier as the earth warmed. There are many images of water, God's covenant with Noah--the first rainbow--baptism, crossing the Red Sea, the River Jordan, etc. that are Biblical, but on this sign water has no Biblical meaning.
