Save the important bird and what it stands for

285749_420118468053447_1084437789_n[1]

And on September 12 Obama continued partying

“About a half-hour after militants overran the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, last month [that would be September 11, 2012 a date everyone should have been prepared for], the State Department notified officials at the White House and elsewhere that the compound was “under attack” by about 20 armed assailants, e-mails obtained by The Washington Post on Wednesday show.”

Washington Post

“But in the following days, [Jay] Carney maintained there was no evidence suggesting the attack was "planned or imminent."

The administration also suggested that an anti-Muslim video produced in the United States likely fueled a spontaneous demonstration in Benghazi as it had in Cairo, where the U.S. Embassy also was attacked.” [It didn’t just suggest it—it trumpeted it inflaming emotions in Muslim countries, and arrested the film maker who is still in jail.]

CNN

The White House is doing everything it can to make it look like they were in control, that they knew, but that information/intelligence was mixed.  Not so.  They watched in real time—someone had to send the drone that filmed it.

It’s a huge cover-up, not just a cover-up of how little control they have there, but the cover-up of the pipeline of arms from Syria to al-Qaeda.  Our guns.  Another Fast and Furious.  The U.S. government is a gun runner, and our own people are being killed due to the incompetence of this administration.

Healthcare for the poor

We're spending $460 billion on healthcare for the poor. Why was Obamacare needed since so many in that group weren't signed up for what was available for them? Well, it was never about the poor, or better care, or cost savings. It's always been about a take over of a segment of the economy.

http://familyfacts.org/charts/310/since-the-war-on-poverty-began-in-1964-welfare-spending-has-skyrocketed

Millions of well-paid jobs in "public service" depend on taking care of people in the lowest quintiles. If poverty disappeared tomorrow, we'd have a new class of poor--government bureaucrats.

Roe v. Wade—Norma McCorvey

Jane Roe of Roe v. Wade urges you NOT to vote for Obama because he kills babies in a campaign ad.

“I’m Norma McCorvey, the former Jane Roe of the Roe vs. Wade decision that brought ‘legal’ child killing to America.
“I was persuaded by feminist attorneys to lie; to say that I was raped, and needed an abortion. It was all a lie.
“Since then, over 50 million babies have been murdered. I will take this burden to my grave.
“Please, don’t follow in my mistakes. DO NOT vote for Obama. Obama murders babies.”

Romney got the last word

I'm optimistic about our future. I want to see peace, we have a chance for real leadership, to promote principles of peace and make people confident in their future.... I'll get us on track to a balanced budget. The President's plan will continue to decline take home pay, millions out of work. I'll fix that. I want to get people off food stamps with good jobs, to bring America back we need a president who can reach across the aisle. I was in a state that was 87% Democrat. We worked together... this nation is the hope of the Earth. The greatest generation held a torch for the world to see. Now it's our turn. We'll do it. We need strong leadership with your support. I'll ask for your vote. Together we can maintain America as the hope of the Earth.

Americans died; Obama lied

550519_540583585957089_2003438943_n[1]

I’m checking both CNN and Fox on the unfolding, outrageous Libya story. CNN is covering Obama campaign and whether Hispanics will support him in the numbers of 2008 (he is using the same immigration line). Fox, of course, is covering the important story about the Obama administration abandoning our embassy and how the Americans fought off their attackers for 7 hours.

Public service/ Public servant

Generally, I'm not in favor of changing the definition of well-known terms or words. But PUBLIC SERVANT would definitely be on my list. A "public servant" is someone who works in a government related bureaucracy, either elected or hired, and who makes more than people doing the same work in the private sector, but with fewer hours and better perks. Increasingly, these public servants are unionized and their union CEOs are not only old fashioned goons, but they earn fabulous salaries. What new word do you suggest that's descriptive, clean, and not a pejorative?

Why Romney didn’t need to go there—Libya disaster—during the debate

“Officials at the White House and State Department were advised two hours after attackers assaulted the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11 that an Islamic militant group had claimed credit for the attack, official emails show.

The emails, obtained by Reuters from government sources not connected with U.S. spy agencies or the State Department and who requested anonymity, specifically mention that the Libyan group called Ansar al-Sharia had asserted responsibility for the attacks.”

Islam's doctrines of deception

Islam's doctrines of deception

To better understand Islam, one must appreciate the thoroughly legalistic nature of the religion. According to sharia (Islamic law) every conceivable human act is categorised as being either forbidden, discouraged, permissible, recommended, or obligatory.

"Common sense" or "universal opinion" has little to do with Islam's notions of right and wrong. Only what Allah (through the Quran) and his prophet Muhammad (through the Hadith) have to say about any given issue matters; and how Islam's greatest theologians and jurists – collectively known as the ulema, literally, "they who know" – have articulated it.

According to sharia, in certain situations, deception – also known as 'taqiyya', based on Quranic terminology, – is not only permitted but sometimes obligatory. For instance, contrary to early Christian history, Muslims who must choose between either recanting Islam or being put to death are not only permitted to lie by pretending to have apostatised, but many jurists have decreed that, according to Quran 4:29, Muslims are obligated to lie in such instances.

Chris Christie offers to send Obama back to Chicago since he can’t change Washington

"You’ve been living inside 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. for the last four years. If you don’t think you can change Washington from inside the White House let’s give you the plane ticket back to Chicago you’ve earned. … If he believes that, then what the hell is he doing asking for another four years?"

Christie says he feels sorry for Obama--he had no experience and then got this huge job--never ran anything in his life. A man wandering around a dark room. If he couldn't figure it out in 4 years, he won't in the next.

On the final debate Monday evening

We were in Indianapolis visiting family, all of whom are on the same page politically, so we had a lot of company and I even stayed up to watch the analysis, which I usually don’t do.  I don’t like having people tell me what I just watched and listened to.  But this was different.  All of us were baffled by some of Romney’s responses either to Obama or the moderator.  However, after listening to people who do this for a living, it made a little more sense.

It wasn’t Romney’s job at this point to win a debate—all he needed to do was hold his own (rising in the polls every day) and keep Obama from trying to look good.  And in that he succeeded.  Hugely.  Obama was childish, petulant, aggressive and argumentative, and Romney was the grown up, with a sense of humor, some humility, and even conceded several places that Obama was doing the right thing (which shocked everyone).  Obama played to his base; Romney to the entire country.

In other areas, like social media--I don't tweet. But I did notice the national news sources pay attention, and the analysis shows terrible racism and race hatred on the part of Obama voters/supporters. This is a very divisive president and his social media supporters demonstrate that.  Democrats have historically divided Americans into voting blocks—men against women; blacks against browns; white rich men against poor white men; those on the plantation against those living free and earning more.  But Obama being a community organizer and from Chicago, really has exploded this system.  Even his big celeb fund raisers say awful things on their tweets.  A bunch of Twits.

In the debate Obama was dropping some code to his base about the 80's (Reagan), 50's (Eisenhower) and 20s (Coolidge). Not bad company for Romney. Those were powerful, successful years for our nation, years of strength and peace, great movement for minorities and poor.  But Obama never learned that in school, he only learned the revised version, the “progressive” version of American history.  And although the debate was supposed to be on foreign policy, Romney kept bring everything back to the economy (on Cherry Lake Drive we were yelling about that, too).  Obama played into his hands. Yes, maybe you need to look closer at Romney.

We (watching the debate) were all shocked that Romney didn’t lay him out flat on Libya, because each day gets worse and worse. But by skirting the issue, he gave Obama no platform to continue lying.  Now it has come out that our brave, concerned President was watching the terror in real time,  then went to bed to rest up for a busy campaign event with Beyonce and Jay-Z while our embassy was under attack and no reinforcement were ordered by him.  All Romney needs to do to attack Obama on Libya is let people read the newspaper (although that won’t convince his staunchest followers).

Obama watched the Benghazi attack in real time

He didn’t call for help, and he went to bed.  Then the next day he left for partying and campaigning with Jay-Z and Letterman. Then for 2 weeks he lied to the American public about what happened and how much he knew.   If you reelect him and the investigation continues, I think this is far more serious than Watergate or lying about sex.

Obama destroyed a life time friendship

They had been friends for years—one a Democrat, one a Republican.  But it never mattered before Obama. In 2008 he told his friend what he thought of Obama.

Over the past four years, my friend has lost about everything. His real estate business is defunct. He has sold almost all his toys, including a classic car he had been refurbishing for about eight years. He sold his motorcycles and pretty much has gone into survival mode. He had been an investor in real estate, and he lost all his other properties. And I'd be willing to bet he has even lost the dream house he had acquired years earlier.

I can only imagine what his feelings for Obama are now.

Like the followers of Jim Jones, many Obama followers are finally being made to drink their cyanide-laced Kool-Aid. I wonder if people like my friend have changed their dogmatic stance on the stranger who convinced them to ruin amazing friendships and who caused major rifts in their families.

Obama has been bad not just for politics. Obama has been bad for things that are much bigger than politics. Maybe Obama's election loss will heal the nation in ways that mean much more. What a legacy.

Our Abortion Champion President

198702_377196909022582_657839639_n[1]

Almost 30% of all abortions in U.S. are done by Planned Parenthood; in 2009 its clinics across the nation brought in $404.9 million in revenues. Its CEO earns over $400,000 a year. Why does this "non-profit" need our tax money to kill babies? It's doing so well.

To call abortion "health care" is like calling the electric chair, shock treatment.  40% of abortions kill black babies.

Architects drink the government project Kool-aid

We often see the phrase, "the continuing uncertainty over the federal budget." This means both the failure of the Democratic controlled Senate to pass a budget the last 3 years, and the distrust in the private sector over the rising costs to do business under Obamacare and Obamanomics. When I see that almost 60% of architects support Obama, I realize they took too many art courses in college and not enough business and American history.  And that they are increasingly dependent on government projects, therefore some businesses think Obama's flailing might accidently touch them, although hundreds of firms have closed during his reign.

Karlsberger in Columbus in June 2011 “in a statement on its website said it closed its doors after 83 years in business. Karlsberger is the fourth-largest architectural firm in the region with $18 million in 2009 billings and more than 50 local staff members, the latest figures available, according to Columbus Business First research

The few large firms left in Columbus took their best staff, then let go some long time employees.

Obama campaign borrows from BofA

“Obama For America took out a $15 million loan from Bank of America last month, according to the campaign’s October monthly FEC report. The loan was incurred on September 4 and is due November 14, eight days after the election. OFA received an interest rate of 2.5% plus the current Libor rate.” (LIBOR stands for the London interbank offered rate and is the rate of interest that banks charge to lend money to each other.)

Also the bank contributed $20 million toward the cost of the Democrat National Convention earlier this year.

I can’t understand it.  The O-Team were raffling off dinners with the President.  Didn’t that raise enough money?

How to lower the price of gasoline—immediately

“Abolishing the ethanol mandate requiring ethanol to be blended with gasoline at the pump or waiving the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) would: (1) lower gasoline prices by millions of dollars; (2) result in billions of miles of free travel annually; (3) prevent millions of tons of additional carbon dioxide from being emitted into the air; and (4) improve national security and the energy picture since it is impossible for US ethanol to ever replace foreign oil imports. PolitiFact was asked to fact-check this but would not do so; therefore, it must be true.”

Are you rational enough to vote?

If party designations were removed and you could not see the color of the candidates' skin, and you could only list accomplishments, how would you vote?

One candidate has 1) expanded wars without approval of Congress, 2) grown debt to 16 trillion,  3) flipped on marriage after posing as traditional in 2008 to get the evangelical vote, 4)  signed on for embryonic stem cell research after it's been proven unnecessary, 5)  solicited support from the largest abortion provider in the country,  6) supports killing a baby born alive if abortion was intended, 7) covered up a terrible mess right before the election, 8) designated the Ft. Hood massacre as "workplace violence" which denies the victims and families special benefits,  9) has spent more time on comedy shows and golf courses than all the other presidents combined.

The other candidate hasn't done any of that but has been 1) a successful businessman, 2) a governor and is 3) wealthier that the other guy (who's only worth $11 million) and 4) has a plan (not terribly clear) to restore the economy.

Remember—no party, no skin color information.  How would you vote?  How rational is your decision?

Obama needs to apologize to the Ft. Hood survivors and families of victims

The U.S. Department of Defense has ruled the Nov. 5, 2009, shooting a case of workplace violence.

In “The Truth About Fort Hood,” victims express their frustration at the government’s designation, Stars and Stripes reports.

Don’t tell Karen’s Dad

I received an e-mail from Karen—maybe you did too.  My problem is I have 5 or 6 Karens in my contact list, plus others I know with whom I don’t regularly correspond, so I don’t know who Karen is.  Maybe it’s a Tea Party plant?  Trying to show that the opposition of softening?  Maybe it’s a liberal plant, hoping to show the opposition that they haven’t completely undone the Obama support.  She hasn’t answered by return note, so here it is:

I am sick and tired of politics!

Over the last couple of years, there has been a lot of tension over politics, and that division has intruded into my relationship with family and friends -- particularly now with the upcoming election.

In 2008, I voted for Obama. That was my right -- I am a good person and I voted for him for good reasons. But that decision has created stress between some of us, and that has been hurtful. Yes, sometimes I have thrown Obama in your face and I am sorry about that -- I truly am.

Here is the thing. I don't think you are stupid because you voted for McCain in '08, and I'm not stupid because I voted for Barack Obama. We both want our country to go in the right direction, but we just have a difference of opinion as to what that direction is, and I'm entitled to my opinion.

I didn't vote for Obama because of all the "hope and change" stuff. I voted for him because I could relate to him on so many levels and I trusted him. If this guy were my neighbor, I would give him the key to my house. I admire the fact that from his very difficult childhood and struggles rose a candidate for president of the Untied States -- and an African-American with an unusual name!

I could relate to his desire to help people who most need it, to help the poor and elderly, children without medical care, and women in need. It seems like Republicans want to cut the important things people need most, and help the rich get richer. I feel like Republicans think Obama supporters are stupid.

I was excited that Obama was going to end the policies of George Bush. I have to tell you, I really didn't like George Bush, and though I still feel that way about him, after four years it's not as clear to me why.

But Obama against McCain, that was easy. Obama is more like me, energetic, young, loves his family.

I got a glimpse of the Obama motorcade on arrival for the debates here in Denver, and that was cool -- though it held up a lot of traffic, which was not cool.
I watched this year's first presidential debate closely and was disappointed in Obama. I found him depressing.

However, the Barack Obama I saw in the second debate the other night is the Obama I voted for in '08!

He was "hitting on all cylinders" as Dad would say ... but he wouldn't about Obama, would he. ;-)

I woke up Wednesday morning feeling invigorated. I had a chance to talk about the debate with friends, and some agreed with me. That was "the real Obama" seemed to be the consensus, but my two best friends didn't share my enthusiasm.
Later in the day, I ran into some friends who agreed that Obama won the debate -- but they had some harsh criticism. One of my colleagues at the University said to me that she felt betrayed, like she had been tricked into voting for Obama the first time. A guy friend was much more callous, saying that he was now convinced that Obama was a phony and a liar.

These two people were Obama's biggest fans in '08. Did they watch the same debate I watched Tuesday?

Last night I had the uneasy feeling that something wasn't right, something was out of place. After all the good vibes with the debate, I now find myself wondering if Obama was sincere, or if what I heard was just talk aimed at "emotional women," like I'm not smart enough to vote on what I think rather than how I feel.

And the more I think about all his comments Tuesday night, against the backdrop of the reality that things have gotten much worse in the last four years, not better as he seemed to claim, I'm not sure I trust Obama anymore. I'm more concerned now than I was in '08.

I think that Obama is still a good person and he wanted to do good things, but I'm bothered by the fact that he didn't take responsibility for where our economy is now. That troubles me the most. It seems like he hasn't grown into the job and hasn't done much of anything he said he would do, and he's still blaming George Bush. Meanwhile, the number of unemployed citizens and poor families has grown a lot.

So why am I writing you?

I know Mitt Romney is a genuine person who really does love his family, who really does care about people from all walks of life. Part of me doesn't like the fact that part of me likes Romney! I am conflicted. I'm not writing to say that I am voting for Romney, but I have decided not to vote for Obama.

Don't tell Dad or I'll never hear the end of it!
Karen

What is also part of the cover-up

Obama’s Middle East policy is a disaster.  Maybe you didn’t like Bush’s policies in Afghanistan and Iraq, but at least he got the approval of Congress—Republicans and Democrats.  Obama has seriously expanded the war, with no approval from us via our representatives, and the guns are about as secure as they were in Fast and Furious.  Here the NYT actually puts the bad news in the lede:

Most of the arms shipped at the behest of Saudi Arabia and Qatar to supply Syrian rebel groups fighting the government of Bashar al-Assad are going to hard-line Islamic jihadists, and not the more secular opposition groups that the West wants to bolster, according to American officials and Middle Eastern diplomats.

That conclusion, of which President Obama and other senior officials are aware from classified assessments of the Syrian conflict that has now claimed more than 25,000 lives, casts into doubt whether the White House’s strategy of minimal and indirect intervention in the Syrian conflict is accomplishing its intended purpose of helping a democratic-minded opposition topple an oppressive government, or is instead sowing the seeds of future insurgencies hostile to the United States.

http://www.nytimes.com/2012/10/15/world/middleeast/jihadists-receiving-most-arms-sent-to-syrian-rebels.html?_r=0

Obama has Muslim Brotherhood members advising him.  This has to stop.  We have a system for selecting advisers.

Op-Ed by Victor Davis Hanson

"In the final debate, Romney will know in advance that the moderator will be biased, that Obama will get more time, that Obama will snicker and interrupt, that Obama will go negative early and long — and that Romney himself has the proven disposition, skill, and information to fend the tag team off, and resonate with voters who are getting ever more savvy after each debate to what is going on. Some sympathetic Romney supporters had been critical of missed opportunities in the vice-presidential debate and the second presidential one, but the wondrous part is not that their missing an opening now and then, but instead how well they have done against the moderators, the distractions, and the rawness. To paraphrase Wellington at Waterloo, I think by now we know that Obama will come on in the same old way, and that Romney will send him back in the same old way — and the polls will show it."

http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/330945/romney-should-be-encouraged-victor-davis-hanson

The Obama Record

Tuesday night at the debate, Mitt Romney summed it up: "We have fewer people working today than we had when the president took office. The unemployment rate was 7.8 percent when he took office; it's 7.8 percent now. But if you calculated that unemployment rate, taking back the people who dropped out of the workforce, it would be 10.7 percent [today]." He later added, "I look at what's happened in the last four years and say this has been a disappointment. We can do better than this. We don't have to settle for ... 43 months with unemployment above 8 percent, 23 million Americans struggling to find a good job right now. There are 3.5 million more women living in poverty today than when the president took office. We don't have to live like this. We can get this economy going again."

Obama and FDR

We scratch our heads that people still support Obama despite his failures in the domestic economy and the foreign scene, particularly the Middle East where he’s interfered in civil wars and lost more American soldier in 3 years than Bush did in 8 . Yet, Americans kept reelecting FDR during the Great Depression (including my sainted mother), and unemployment was as high as 25% and in 1942 he imprisoned or put in camps almost a million Americans of Italian, German and Japanese ethnicity. There's just no accounting for political blinders.

FDR particularly hurt blacks and poor with minimum wage legislation which is always a job killer at the bottom ranks; lots of minor taxes that hurt the poor the most—like movies and candy; also wouldn't support anti-lynching legislation, snubbed Jesse Owens and Joe Lewis, allowed unions to keep out blacks; manipulated public works programs for votes. But . . .to this day he is revered by blacks and minorities. It seems people found him charming and believed his lies. Sound familiar?

Fifty percent?

185126_10151284418827650_446251271_n[1]

I’m shocked 50% could still support Obama after the massive cover up, bigger than Watergate, in which no one died.

GOP women have binders; Democrat women have blinders

From the debate transcript, a comment that Democrats find so hilarious it completely made them forget about 4 dead Americans and a campaign cover-up:

"ROMNEY: And -- and so we -- we took a concerted effort to go out and find women who had backgrounds that could be qualified to become members of our cabinet. I went to a number of women's groups and said, "Can you help us find folks," and they brought us whole binders full of women."
Now they can talk of nothing else.

The taxman cometh, and cometh, and cometh—he will keep coming long after Obama is out of office

a little-known part of ObamaCare, levies a 3.8 percent Medicare tax on investment income for couples making more than $250,000 or individuals making more than $200,000 a year. The tax is scheduled to go into effect on January 1, 2013.

7 new taxes: http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2012/06/29/Seven-new-taxes

Religious tolerance? Think again.

Back when Hillary Clinton was still blaming the internet for the Benghazi terrorist attack, she made this odd statement, "Our commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation." There was no religious tolerance at the beginning of our nation when we were English, French and Spanish colonies, nor is it a Biblical value or ethic. True, Catholics and Protestants weren't slaughtering each other like they did in Europe, but those who came here for religious freedom really didn't want other groups, or the STATE, telling them how to worship or act.

One of the geniuses of our Bill of Rights is that our Founders were able to get all these disparate groups to actually agree that religious freedom was primary to all other freedoms. The Northwest Ordinance (1787) preceded the Bill of Rights, and also enshrined the idea the state couldn't decide your religious beliefs and behavior.

And now with 70% of the world without religious freedom, and even outright religious oppression and terrorism, our current President wants to diminish what centuries of Christians and Jews died for--not tolerance, not non-judgementalism, not political correctness--but religious freedom. The HHS Mandate is the camel's nose in the tent.

It’s been announced that the print edition disappears at the end of the year.  I read the digital edition, The Daily Beast, just so I’m up on the loony tunes liberals.  It’s just unbelievable.  They are hysterical over “binders full of women” but pretty quiet about Benghazi. They even swear with a straight face that Obama “won on points” the last debate. (Apparently there were no points for the truth.)  Tina Brown made her name in women’s and gossip magazines.  I just don’t think she’s a good fit for serious news.

Let’s talk about that 47%

On the expanding wars

The left says they support Barack 0bama because he won't get us into unnecessary wars. B0 has been using drones to bomb countries in the Middle East, and has American Soldiers in up to 7 countries at this point. More American soldiers have been killed since Obama has been president than during the 8 years Bush was president. Their argument about Obama and war is illogical and contrary to proven facts.

Also, Big Bird has been mentioned as often during the debates as veterans.  Think about it!

Where’s your plan, Mr. President?

TIME MAGAZINE’S MARK HALPERIN: “I just want to say one thing we haven’t brought up yet, but it’s incredibly important. The President did not lay out a second-term agenda. And if there’s an undercurrent here, that could really hurt him, not in the room, because it wasn’t evident, it was absent. He didn’t lay out a second term agenda any more than he did in the first debate. And that is where he is the weakest. And he didn’t address it, I thought at all.”

MSNBC’S JOE SCARBOROUGH: “Looking for a way forward, you want to know what’s going to be different over the next four years and you just didn’t get that from Barack Obama. And I’ve just got to think after the second debate this president has laid out no plan for the next four years. No plan. That’s got to be devastating in some voters’ eyes.”

NBC NEWS’ DAVID GREGORY: “I think liberals can breathe a sigh of relief. It’s not curtains for the president. He showed up and showed up big tonight. He was more aggressive; he had a lot of fight in him. A little light on his vision for the future.”

CNN’s JOHN KING: “If people think you have a plan, likability comes into play. The president has still left a whole lot of people, as I’ve been traveling the last few weeks, this is what people say, I want to vote for him, but he hasn’t told me what he’s going to do.”

NEW YORK TIMES’ TOM FRIEDMAN: “I continue to believe Obama has a weakness when it comes to the question of will the next four years really be different? Do you have a plan that excites you and me to get out of my chair and say that’s the guy, that’s it, that’s the person I want to follow now. He has not closed that deal.”

POLITICO’S BEN WHITE: “But Obama was far less effective in making an affirmative case for a second term, saying only that he wanted to create more manufacturing jobs and reduce the debt and deficit and keep investing in alternative energy sources. Romney had his strongest moments ripping up Obama’s first term record, citing the persistently high jobless rate, the rising debt and the lack of action on Social Security, Medicare and immigration reform. Obama mainly tried to refresh his campaign’s initial – and largely successful – disqualification effort against Romney rather than making a strong pitch for a second term vision.”

WSJ EDITORIAL: “Judging by Tuesday’s debate, the president’s argument for re-election is basically this: He’s not as awful as Mitt Romney. Mr. Obama spent most of his time attacking either Mr. Romney himself (he invests in Chinese companies), his tax plan as a favor for the rich (‘that’s been his history’) or this or that statement he has made over the last year (‘the 47%,’ which Mr. Obama saved for the closing word of the entire debate).”

FORMER NEW YORK GOV. ELIOT SPITZER: “We shouldn’t be blind to what continues to be the soft underbelly of the president’s campaign, which is that when all is said and done, you didn’t leave last night with a real tangible sense of what the second term agenda is going to be.”

The Benghazi cover up and why

Why did the White House persist with the phony story of a protest against a video being the cause of Ambassador Stevens' death, when they had to know there was no protest?

The most plausible explanation is that the truth -- we were being hit with the worst terror attack since 9/11 in a city we saved -- would have exposed Obama's boasting about his Libya triumph and al-Qaida being "on the run" and "on the path to defeat" as absurd propaganda.

Al-Qaida is now in Libya, Mali, Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Pakistan.

And the epidemic of anti-American riots across the Muslim world, with Arab Spring elections bringing to power Islamist regimes, testify to the real truth. After four years of Obama, it is America that is on the run in the Middle East.

But we can't let folks find that out until after Nov. 6.

Hence the Benghazi cover-up.

From Mike Huckabee on refurbishing mosques

Why is our State Department spending your tax money to build mosques in the Middle East? Frontpage magazine reports that there there’s a little-publicized federal program to refurbish mosques in 27 Islamic countries. Using federal money to save religious buildings is illegal, but they get around that by calling it developmental aid. The idea is that refurbishing mosques will convince Islamists to respect other cultures. And how’s that working? In nations where we’re rebuilding mosques – Pakistan, Egypt, Afghanistan, Sudan, Kenya and more -- dozens of Christian churches have been burned to the ground by angry Muslim mobs. So far, no protests from the left. I wonder what they’d say if we started using federal money to rebuild the Christian churches?

Will women swing to Romney?

Christians for Mitt says: “Goodbye, Obama! USA Today says that WOMEN in swing states are swinging towards Romney & Ryan! Why? Because we want jobs, national security, our consciences and families honored, religious liberty -- we want America back!”

As the presidential campaign heads into its final weeks, the survey of voters in 12 crucial swing states finds female voters much more engaged in the election and increasingly concerned about the deficit and debt issues that favor Romney. The Republican nominee has pulled within one point of the president among women who are likely voters, 48%-49%, and leads by 8 points among men.

Joe Pags summary of the debate Tuesday 10/16:  “Just a quick note to all before I turn in for a few hours.. . I realize we have some liberals here. Don't get frustrated by them. They'll repeat the Obama and lefty lies and think if they say it enough, people will start to believe them. The truth ALWAYS wins. The truth is, one man was spinning and lying tonight and the other was telling the truth and showing his leadership. For that reason alone, Romney wins. .”

Debt relief for students–big give away for wealthy

The student loan bubble will be the next housing bubble, and I haven't heard much about it during this campaign. It's being kicked down the road for the next administration--perhaps Romney will get the blame instead of Bush (if Obama is reelected, we know Bush will be blamed). But according to an article in today’s New York Times it seems the new changes in student debt relief will benefit the wealthy, not the poor.

Surprise! Where would jobs for liberals come from it they didn't create a permanent low-income class?

“. . . the changes introduced by the Obama administration could allow a graduate making $70,000 a year to reduce monthly payments to $448 a month and “have over $100,000 of debt forgiven, . . .  If you are low-income, it doesn’t really give you a big bang,” said Jason Delisle, one of the authors of the study, which estimates that monthly payments for low-income borrowers would drop to $20, from $25, under the changes. “If you are high-income and have a lot of debt, this is a huge giveaway.”

Biden caught in another lie—this time football

Who and when he played against in the 1960s during his college career is not as important as lying about Benghazi or voting for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq (which he lied about during the debate), it does however speak to his character, or worse, his long term memory.

Biden did not play football at the University of Delaware in 1961, 1962, 1963, or 1964, according to past yearbooks nor was he in the student directory in 1963.

"During a campaign stop in Athens, Ohio, on Saturday, Vice President Joe Biden said the last time he was in the town, playing against the Ohio University football team in 1963, he almost got arrested for walking into a girls' dormitory," CBS News Online reported last month.”

Women push Romney into lead

I really do think it was the Biden behavior—reminded to many women of the ex.  Besides, women are in the work place, they own small businesses, they have values. . .

Why are women moving to Romney/Ryan?

By Kelly Monroe Kullberg

Women swinging towards Romney & Ryan. USA Today. Why? Likely because women (like men) care a lot about jobs, national security, Judaeo-Christian faith and freedom, the rule of law, their consciences and families. We've had enough debt, division and scandal for a lifetime.

Benghazi Gate—bigger cover up than Watergate

Tough on Republicans, soft on terrorists

545728_415741801814644_1559138543_n[1]

He lied about his support for “the Bush wars” (voted for them) and he lied about the HHS Mandate (there is no allowance or agreement that Catholic Bishops have approved) and lied about who knew what when about Benghazi attacks (facts were known within 24 hours and for 2 weeks Obama, Clinton and Rice lied) and he waffled on abortion (he’s a cafeteria catholic).  Good old, foot-in-mouth Joe  is truth-challenged, and too confused about his own values and the administration’s policies to be a heart beat away from the presidency.

Hold on. Only half of the nation is outraged

The other half—the Obama supporters are still making excuses for their team.

In fact, Ryan’s Benghazi slam (in the vp debate), right out of the chute, won him the debate. This terrorist attack is going to be a huge issue in the presidential race. Americans are furious at the Obama-Biden-Clinton stupidity and mismanagement surrounding the tragic Benghazi deaths. They are enraged at the Benghazi cover-up. Ryan accused Biden of malfeasance in every aspect of this tragedy. It was a tremendous body slam right from the start.

And Biden misled everyone with a string of falsehoods. He said the administration did not have complete intelligence at the start of the crisis. But we now know they did have sufficient intelligence to realize that the killing of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others had nothing to do with spontaneous reactions to a YouTube video, and that it was a planned al-Qaida attack.

White House "Denies, Deceives, Delays" Truth on Mideast

By Amy Woods, Newsmax, 10.14.2012

Senator Lindsey Graham leveled conspiracy charges against the White House for attempting to cover up the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the Libyan embassy that killed a U.S. ambassador. Graham said on CBS’ “Face the Nation” he knows for a fact the administration was told within 24 hours of the incident it was carried out by al-Qaida operatives.

“They’re trying to sell a narrative, quite frankly, that the wars are receding and al-Qaida’s been dismantled. And to admit that our embassy was attacked by al-Qaida undercuts that narrative. They never believed the media would investigate. Congress was out of session. It just caught up with them.

“They’re very political when it comes to foreign policy,” Graham said. “When something goes bad, they deny, they deceive, and they delay, and the truth is, we’re not safer. Al-Qaida is alive.”
President Obama told David Letterman two days after the attack it was the result of a controversial video.

“There was never a riot,” Graham said. “There was never a group of people around the embassy. It was a coordinated terrorist attack.”

Romney surging in Ohio

But we still have a lot of confused people, who want four more years of this mess!  High unemployment.  Cover-ups worse than Watergate.  Crony capitalism.  “Just us” in the Justice Department.   Unbelievable.

Million Muppet March

579223_10151276906152650_347633972_n[1]

“The Kitchen Cabinet:  Two liberals who oppose Romney's position that PBS should be self-supporting, are planning a "Million Muppet March" just before the November election. Because terrorist attacks, economic depression, and a national debt higher than the nearest solar system pale in comparison to America's desperate need to support PBS with TAX DOLLARS! We love PBS! SELL COMMERCIALS!”

Sesame Street is already self-supporting—makes far more than Mitt Romney, so that at least could be spun off the tax payer payroll.

Oops. He forgot Obama!

“In all of his ranting and defending of the Democratic agenda, Biden failed at his number one job: propping up the boss! In his tireless pursuit of the limelight, Biden has actually set up President Obama up for failure in the next presidential debate.

Do you remember even one MENTION of the President? Or Joe Biden sharing even one of the President’s successes or great leadership traits?

Instead, Biden exposed the vulnerabilities of the Obama administration like open cans of tuna. The imperfect aroma of Obamacare, Libya, Medicare and Unemployment will fill the stage when Romney faces the President this week. In other words, he set President Obama up for failure.”

The Kitchen Cabinet

Michael Medved

A number of women have remarked that Biden’s behavior reminded them of their ex-husband or boyfriend;  and I’m guessing for a certain age group, it reminds them of the way men have treated them at the office/workplace.  Nope, no points from women.

Without all the answers for 2 weeks they lied about a video!

And they had the film maker arrested, and they used the event to build up Islam.  The President even continued the lie while speaking to the U.N. Then Looselips Joe goes on national TV and says the White House knew nothing about the requests for security and that Syria is larger than Libya.  Clearly, the White House is out of control and the President needs to spend less time with Jay-Z and Letterman and more time with his intelligence advisors!  Even the lapdog media are starting to get uncomfortable.  This mess is much bigger than Watergate, but without an investigative, responsible press, most Americans (including my friends and relatives who are Democrats and watch broadcast news)  will never hear about it.

AP Photo

"We do not have all the answers. No one in this administration has ever claimed otherwise."

"We are providing the best information we have at that time and that information continues to be updated, it also continues to be put into context and more deeply understood through the process we are engaged in," she said.

There are three separate investigations into the attack going on now: an FBI probe into the deaths of the four Americans, an independent inquiry by a panel appointed by Clinton and the congressional hearings.

In her address, which focused particularly on North Africa, Clinton stressed that extremists were trying to hijack democratic transitions under way. She warned of al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb's growing reach from its stronghold in northern Mali, just south of Libya.

Marblehead-Lakeside Lighthouse Festival

After a gray start, the skies cleared on Friday and we had an eyeful of glorious color on our way to the Lake.  Dinner and breakfast with good friends, and then the craft fair, where I helped out some local artisans by over spending.

Saturday was partly cloudy but made it to the mid-60s. Even with limited sunshine, the fall colors were brilliant on the way home and we enjoyed the drive. We were noting political yard signs. In small rural towns along Rt. 4 there were almost no Obama-Biden signs; many Romney-Ryan. These people are really hurting and are not willing to give this failure 4 more years. But in Lakeside, the blue Obama signs are blooming. A sweet community of good hearted people who are heavily academic and "public servant" 2nd home owners with comfortable pensions. Talk to anyone who has a small business--they'll tell you what Obama’s doing to the country.

Joe Biden’s biggest slip of the evening

Good ol’ Joe.  You can count on at least one big, huge, massive gaffe. I thought this one was the biggest slip of the evening--claiming the WH had no knowledge of the security requests when millions of people watched the hearings on Wednesday which laid it all out. It made Obama look like a fool who'd been hanging out with Letterman and Jay-Z instead of minding the store. Oh wait. He was!

Two State Department officials admitted in Congressional hearings under oath that those requests were denied. Eric Nordstrom, the top regional security officer in Libya during the summer, testified that Charlene Lamb, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, turned down his request for more security.  Also, during the hearings it came out that no one who was in Benghazi had reported the video was a problem nor was there a protest going on—and everyone in the State Dept. knew it was a planned terrorist attack, yet Obama, Clinton and Rice continued to stir up hatred in the Middle East with that ridiculous story.  A week later Obama was still telling tales at the U.N.  And the filmmaker is in jail on trumped up charges.

First, Biden blamed the intelligence community for the administration’s confusing public explanations of the 9/11 anniversary attack in Benghazi, Libya. Moderator Martha Raddatz asked Biden directly why administration spokesman “were talking about protests” in Benghazi. “When people in the consulate first saw armed men attacking with guns, there were no protesters. Why did that go on?”

“Because that was exactly what we were told by the intelligence community,” Biden said. “The intelligence community told us that. As they learned more facts about exactly what happened, they changed their assessment.” . . .

But it was what Biden said next that made that answer so interesting. Raddatz turned the debate to Iran, saying: “There’s really no bigger national security issue facing this country.”

Biden, in an attempt to parry an attack from Ryan, suddenly expressed his belief that the U.S. intelligence community is omniscient. There’s no need to consider war right now, he argued, because “we’ll know if they start to build a weapon.”

So the same intelligence community that failed to deliver information in its possession about the attacks on Benghazi is suddenly so all-knowing on Iran that we needn’t worry about the mullahs going nuclear?

Christians for Mitt (Facebook)

Thank you, Lord, for calm, substantial grace and dignity again in our rising American leaders, Mitt Romney & Paul Ryan. Help us, Lord, with this crisis of character and competence that has befallen our nation. Amen.

(Writer’s  opinion: It's a shock to see a man like Joe Biden as the Vice President of our nation. How could men like this, with such indignity of manner and thought, be occupying positions of highest leadership. We are truly in a crisis but God is raising up real Americans, again. Proverbs 29:9, "If a wise man has an argument with a fool, the fool only the rages and laughs, and there is no quiet." But the discerning know wisdom, and the Lord shall rise with us, as we rise for Him.

My opinion:  Biden’s behavior was bizarre, however I think it really resonates with Democrats who have no character or principles in their platform or program.  We can’t expect good manners from people who boo God.

Mark Levin’s opinion:  Martha Raddatz was awful, stepping all over Paul Ryan's statements. Joe Biden was off his meds, flailing with his hands, interrupting, repetitive, and whiny, which is what most of his base has wanted. And Paul Ryan was calm, cool, and collected, with a better second half in the debate.

Joe Pags opinion: As Al Gore would say, "the debate is over." My Thoughts.. As expected Martha Raddatz, was biting and on the attack with Ryan -- seemed to give in more with Biden. I thought she was going to be fair at first, but then she was what I expected she'd be -- a shill for the Obama admin. Even as Biden begged for even time, fact is, he got nearly two minutes more than Ryan. I guess Obama got Raddatz a nice wedding gift.

RNC Chair Reince Priebus :  Vice President Joe Biden interrupted Congressman Paul Ryan "82 times" during the debate.

Dana Show:  Ryan's job tonight was to set up Romney for next debate. Biden's job was to clean up Obama's mess from the last one.

Michelle Malkin: Pundits and news anchors are expressing post-debate shock at how smirky, condescending and arrogant Vice President Joe Biden was tonight. They buzzed on Twitter at his “malarkey” rebuke of Paul Ryan’s foreign policy criticism.

523859_3860459112153_1129498766_n[1]

Peggy Noonan: Last week Mr. Obama was weirdly passive. Last night Mr. Biden was weirdly aggressive, if that is the right word for someone who grimaces, laughs derisively, interrupts, hectors, rolls his eyes, browbeats and attempts to bully. He meant to dominate, to seem strong and no-nonsense. Sometimes he did—he had his moments. But he was also disrespectful and full of bluster. "Oh, now you're Jack Kennedy!" he snapped at one point. It was an echo of Lloyd Bentsen to Dan Quayle, in 1988. But Mr. Quayle, who had compared himself to Kennedy, had invited the insult. Mr. Ryan had not. It came from nowhere. Did Mr. Biden look good? No, he looked mean and second-rate. He meant to undercut Mr. Ryan, but he undercut himself. His grimaces and laughter were reminiscent of Al Gore's sighs in 2000—theatrical, off-putting and in the end self-indicting.

  • Every time you take a picture, it produces a grimmer image of America.

  • The navigation feature covers all 57 States.
  • The default ringtone for international calls is “I’m sorry, so sorry, please accept my apology.”
  • The healthcare app downloads and installs itself without your permission.
  • When you make a call, a teleprompter pops up to help you speak.
  • Restaurant reviews are all written by Michelle Obama.
  • There are never any winners on Angry Birds.
  • Instagram takes two months to process a photo and you have to fill out 3 PDFs to do so.
  • Paypal app is replaced with ReceivePal app.

    Big Obama Bird

On Tuesday, at a rally for Obama here in Columbus, Ohio, the performer chose to play something new: the theme song for “Sesame Street.”  Interesting that Obama is taking this so lightly.  Sort of like on September 12, 2012, after the State Department knew it was a terrorist attack that killed our Ambassador and 3 other Americans and he took off on the campaign trail to get chummy with Beyonce and Jay-Z and Dave Letterman for another big fund raiser with celebrities.

Charlene Lamb, Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Programs, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, U.S. Department of State yesterday testified she’d listened to the whole account in real time.  Col. Wolf,  a Utah National Guard Green Beret, said they knew it was not a mob but a terrorist attack immediately.

So why the focus on Big Bird, except he doesn’t take this seriously? He’s still so cocky he thinks he won that debate despite what his staff have told him? The crowd was confused. . . they already knew Big Bird wasn’t playing well for him.

New York Times political correspondent Jeff Zeleny also tweeted about the audience's surprise at will's creative interlude. "At Ohio State, will.i.am picks up Big Bird theme, playing Sesame Street song as a warm up act for Obama. Crowd looks confused."

will.i.am.'s lighthearted throwback to Romney's earlier remarks weren't the only time Big Bird and "Sesame Street" made news Tuesday, as the production team behind the show, the Sesame Workshop, issued an official statement written to both political campaigns — though directed at the Obama campaign regarding their new attack ad that features Big Bird — requesting that any mention of Big Bird in their respective advertising be immediately removed.

One of the reasons they don’t want the focus on Big Bird or Sesame Street is the extreme wealth and the salaries of the CEOs. I think the guy in the costume makes $400,000 a year—definitely a 1 percenter.

    The hearings on Libya

What transpired yesterday In Congressional hearings (Libya security and terrorism) which I watched on C-SPAN to avoid the analysis and commercial breaks, shows a much bigger coverup than Watergate. Even the most devoted Obama supporters, if they watched it, should be alarmed.

Now the whole world knows we were lied to about the 9/11 events in Benghazi, and a massive cover-up took place from either complete incompetence or political motives surrounding the coming elections.  No one believes Obama is dumb or Clinton lacks experience, so that only leaves the election.  Watergate was about political power, but no one died.  In Benghazi not only Americans died, but others around the middle east as outrage spread from the lies being told.   Individual careers lower down the ladders are probably now at risk. Charlene Lamb, Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Programs, Bureau of Diplomatic Security, U.S. Department of State,  obviously is one who works by the book and clearly denied additional security when it was requested, but I also noticed that although the men being questioned were for the most part allowed to put their answer in context, she wasn't. "Yes, or No, m'am." Patrick Kennedy, Under Secretary for Management U.S. Department of State,   looked foolish also. Both insist no one influenced their response on the cause--terrorism or video. But Lamb’s own account of the evenings events (ambassador walking outside with a Turkish guest, and there were no disturbances shortly before the attack) pretty well puts a lie to any mob being at fault.

. Although I never cared for him, Dennis Kucinich (D-OH)  was amazing. He was always speaking out against Bush and the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, now he’s really laying it on Obama for extending it. Over a year ago he said Obama’s offenses were “impeachable.”   And that good old boy from Western Penn. also. Made me think of FB conversations on 9/12 where we'd all figured out it wasn't the video. He all but put the buck on Obama's desk.

As Obama, Clinton and Rice continued to go on national/world TV and blame an American video maker, riots happened in many cities (doubt anyone actually saw it, only heard of it). Civilians died and were injured; our embassies and ngo's were put at risk by their careless words and misplaced desire not to speak against Islam.  Plus the media used it to slam Romney, who has been proven right.  The media has egg on their face and blood on their hands.

Romney was right to speak out; but it is Obama who shoots and takes aim later, by announcing and apologizing for a video that had nothing to do with it, information they all say came from “intelligence sources.” Who isn’t clear, but I suspect Clapper will take the fall for Clinton and Obama.

Raddatz the debate judge is Obama’s buddy

Do you think there is a conflict of interest? If Mrs. Romney had a sorority sister working for a Fox News panel, do you think that wouldn't be brought up every night?

"Martha Raddatz (ABC) has a connection with Barack Obama going all the way back to their days at Harvard. They worked on the Harvard Law Review together, and Obama attended her 1991 wedding. Fast forward to the present, and President Obama has appointed Raddatz’s husband, Julius Genachowski, to the Federal Communications Commission. Genachowski is also an Obama campaign bundler, meaning that he is a major fundraiser for the president’s re-election effort. That storyline alone raises questions of corruption and rewarding political supporters with powerful federal posts. Yet ABC insists that Raddatz has no conflict of interest in moderating the debate." PJ Tatler, Bryon Preston

Is anything working for Obama—even Big Bird has said NO!
