Kalanga Bible ready to be issued

Today I was reading the Lutheran Bible Translator's Messenger newsletter. The Kalanga (Botswana) full Bible is just about ready--finalizing notes, glossary and undergoing final checks. Kalanga is spoken by about 500,000 people in southwestern Zimbabwe, 150,000 people in northeastern Botswana, and a smaller number in the diaspora. Dialects include: Lilima (Botswana), Nyai, and Kalanga of the Plumtree area. Having God's word in your own heart language is very important, but first someone had to tell them about Jesus. That's what Jesus told his disciples--they didn't have a Bible, and Jesus never mentioned it. You can witness even without putting a Bible in someone's hand or trying to translate into the language of your neighbor.
