2568 Thank you, Mr. President

"My message to the enemy is, don't count on us leaving before we succeed," Bush said. I took him along on my walk this morning listening to his address at the press conference after his Iraq trip. Now let the "Kos, Defect and Death" bloggers begin. I'm sure they aren't happy with anything they heard, particularly about how we're not going to abandon the Iraqi people (like we did the Vietnamese).

Personally I don't think we can afford to walk away from this until we can honestly say, "We came to do a job. Now it's done." It was never going to be easy and was certainly going to be costly but if we do it right it will be worth the cost.

I spent 18 months in Vietnam(68-69) and politcians should never run a war!! Johnson and Macnamara tried to and a rooftop departure was the sad result. It is burned into my mind and the minds of many others.

Let's hope we can end this honorably and soon.

Mr. Moth--you leave good comments--and probably just not here. Why no blog?
