He said it, he lied, the media sighed

Barack Obama said it. He wasn’t ambiguous and there's no wiggle room. Obama definitely said, "If you like your insurance you can keep it. Nothing changes." Everyone knew that was nonsense, but he said it then, his disinformation staff on cable and broadcast news repeated it.

And now, every day when you open the newspaper you see a change. The end result will either be exorbitant high insurance costs that few can afford, or companies will be dropping coverage (see story on McDonald's) so their employees will go for the government carrot.

You say "The end result will either be" but you do not know what will actually happen.

You are bearing false witness to the president when the negative future you project has not even happened yet. He has not lied. The health insurance companies are in a high leverage situation with regard to our congressmen so you're fears are overstated. You should know this since the only real government carrot, the public option was dropped because of that high leverage.

Are we so desperate to malign Obama that we must go to these extremes.
Come on now.
