Class warfare in a graph—the Buffett rule

Buffet_Rule_Summary

The tiny, almost invisible smudge at the top is the Buffett reduction of the deficit. This nonsense us purely to create anger and hostility toward successful people and lie about how much they actually do pay in taxes.

Is that a sentence????

The tax code should be fair.....period. And if people and corporations make enormous amounts of money, they should pay a fair tax. They should pay rates at least equal to the lowest.

OK Nancy, you go first. What is fair for you to pay?

Ha,, funny you should ask!! I think a good 35%- 45% for those making a million or more should work. Or lets go back to where the %'s were during the Reagan Administration. I don't think people living on $20-40,000 a year should pay any more than the sales and real estate tax they already pay. As for me,,, well tax breaks prevail,, the same tax breaks that apply to some rich people even though we are not. It's all legal!! I do pay more than my share of real estate taxes.

Wow. I didn't know you made that much. The figures for the very wealthy are actually in that range. Now, since your family is richer than probably 90% of the rest of the American households, and you own income property, what is fair for YOU even though by actually paying taxes you're already doing a lot?
