Rand Paul accuses Democrats of being anti-choice--particularly about toilets

His toilets don't work and he can't find a decent light bulb and Democrats are shipping jobs overseas with their energy regulations. They are anti-choice--putting people out of business or fining them with their efficiency standards. Appalling and hypocritical, he says, you are busy-bodies. Besides these toilets have to be flushed multiple times to even work. Amen, brother!

Eric of NYC at NYT writes: "People do not like these new bulbs. That is why they must be forced on us through legislation. People do not like them because they produce lousy light. You can argue that using the force of law to make us use them is great public policy, but the very fact that their use must come from the government's exercise of police power indicates that they are very clearly not what people want to use."

It's true, they are lousy for reading, but since most people don't read anymore, I doubt that's a good argument. I prefer the one that they are made in dirty coal factories in China and we've sent more jobs overseas. We still have to breath that air.

I'm stocking up on lightbulbs--the ones that still give light.

Murray sez:
Norma, you can tell Eric of N.Y. it won't be long till he has to try to read his federal instructions on Obamacare under his dim light. That ought to send him directly to the toilet that he has to double flush.
