Almost 100 years after the vote amendment . . .

Since 1917 Representative Jeannette Rankin (R MT, 1917- 1919)  "A total of 313 women have been elected or appointed to Congress, 202 Democrats and 111 Republicans. Of these women, 267 (173 Democrats, 94 Republicans) have been elected only to the House of Representatives; 35 (21 Democrats, 14 Republicans) have been elected or appointed only to the Senate; and 11 (8 Democrats, 3 Republicans) have served in both houses. These figures include six non-voting Delegates, one each fro...m Guam, Hawaii, the District of Columbia, and American Samoa, and two from the U.S. Virgin Islands. Of the 46 women who have been elected or appointed to the Senate, 14 were first appointed and 5 were first elected to fill unexpired terms. A total of 38 African American women have served in Congress (1 in the Senate, 37 in the House), including 20 serving in the 114th Congress. Eleven Hispanic women have been elected to the House; nine serve in the 114th Congress. Ten Asian Pacific American women have served in Congress (nine in the House, one in both the House and Senate), including seven in the 114th Congress.”

I'm a little math challenged, but it appears that based on population, minority women are doing better than majority women in Congress. Should we expect the minorities to do less, or the majority to do more? You know, to ease the gap in achievement.

Anti-Christmas bias isn't new

 In 1993, I was still 6 years away from voting for a Democrat for president, but I could certainly sniff out bias. Came across this letter of Dec. 1993 I had written to the American Library Association which had designed cards for libraries to send to other libraries and their staff.
Dear Colleagues,

Our Library received the very clever and attractive "Season's Readings" card from our sibling library, John A. Prior Health Sciences Library.

We are in complete agreement with your goal of supporting a campaign to promote libraries, reading and literacy through the sale of these cards. However, we are somewhat puzzled and curious that in your effort to include everyone else's language and holiday, you left out English speaking Christians. We Christians (a faith claimed by 1,783,660,000) also have a December holiday. In our language (spoken by 750 million others) it is called CHRISTMAS, and the traditional greeting is, "Merry Christmas."

Perhaps next year we could be included in the festivities.

Signed by me and the library supervisor, Daniel Martin

November 12 is National Pizza Day

Neil Cavuto says today is National Pizza day. Works for me.
"National Pizza Day is dedicated to appreciating pizza, a baked flatbread that is topped with tomato sauce and cheese. Many toppings and sauces can be added to pizzas, including vegetables, meats and seafood. Pizza was invented in Naples, Italy around the 10th century, and has since grown to become one of the most popular foods in America."
I think I first tasted pizza in 1956 on a date with a guy from Oregon, IL named Leonard with an Italian last name who played trombone. I thought it was so awful I think I only ate one or two pieces, and that was just to impress him. Tried it again in college, and then gradually developed a taste. Like for dinner tonight.

Were people voting against political correctness?

http://reason.com/blog/2016/11/09/trump-won-because-leftist-political-cor

Trump was not my first or 13th choice, and pulling down political correctness wasn’t the reason I voted for him. That said, people are sick of this phoniness.

As I’ve said before, I’m a one issue voter, and believed this was the last opportunity to save babies. However, words like diversity, inclusiveness and multiculturalism have become the opposite of their accepted meaning. They might as well be called first cousins of racism, bigotry and exclusiveness.

Just for laughs, read the mission statement of a private school where wealthy and powerful liberal politicians send their children. In a school that is already only for the tippy top 1% in wealth, connections and brains, they are proud to tell you about their diverse and inclusive student body, which from the photos appears to be children of Nigerian or Chinese ambassadors.

What has Trump destroyed?

"While we're all immensely grateful for Trump's miraculous victory, I don't think we've paid enough attention to what he has destroyed. He destroyed the Bush dynasty. He has destroyed the Clinton dynasty. He has destroyed the push towards globalization. He has destroyed the MSM myth as "impartial Journalists." He has destroyed the conventional GOP so-called Conservative establishment. He has destroyed Obama's legacy. He has destroyed ObamaCare and the push towards a single payer, government controlled health care. He has destroyed the concept that Republicans can't win without catering to a variety of ethnic groups, even though he increased his vote with blacks and Hispanics over Romney. He has destroyed the lock than the NEA has over the educational system. He has destroyed the environmental wacko's control over the EPA. He has destroyed the legitimacy of the polling industry. Finally, and most importantly, with the defeat of Hillary, he has decimated the Democrat party, and it's agenda, with no bench to build upon. So let's celebrate Trump's win and his future presidency, along with the appreciation of all he's destroyed." – Mal Luber

If he moves quickly, this would be true.  If he decides to back away from what he promised, then maybe not. The only real success Obama had was his biggest promise--to fundamentally transform the country. It's never been so divided or hate filled. Not since VietNam have we seen so many violent protests, which are continuing today.

The aftermath of the election

I do know Democrats who had Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS) and people of both parties who couldn't imagine a black man in the White House, but I've never seen or heard the absolute idiocy and fear mongering of the Democrats of this election after losing November 8. Obama and Clinton have been gracious and sensible--their followers are having meltdowns, destroying property and making threats. It's worse than 2004 when Kerry lost. And it's not just the snowflakes. It's also people who claim to be adults. 9/12 groups, Tea Party groups and pro-Life groups have marches and demonstrations numbering in the millions.  They don't break windows and threaten people.

November [poem]

November
By Maggie Dietz

Show's over, folks. And didn't October do
A bang-up job? Crisp breezes, full-throated cries
Of migrating geese, low-floating coral moon.

Nothing left but fool's gold in the trees.
Did I love it enough, the full-throttle foliage,
While it lasted? Was I dazzled? The bees

Have up and quit their last-ditch flights of forage
And gone to shiver in their winter clusters.
Field mice hit the barns, big squirrels gorge

On busted chestnuts. A sky like hardened plaster
Hovers. The pasty river, its next of kin,
Coughs up reed grass fat as feather dusters.

Even the swarms of kids have given in
To winter's big excuse, boxed-in allure:
TVs ricochet light behind pulled curtains.

The days throw up a closed sign around four.
The hapless customer who'd wanted something
Arrives to find lights out, a bolted door.

Advice for supporters of Mrs. Clinton from Mike Rowe

 Image result for Mike Rowe

Mike Rowe of the website and TV show, Dirty Jobs, has this message for disappointed Mrs. Clinton supporters.  Good advice to add for those who were thrown into a basket of deplorables and irredeemables, and which now have had  "morons" added to the mix.
"…For what it’s worth, Carol, I don’t think Donald Trump won by tapping into America’s “racist underbelly,” and I don’t think Hillary lost because she’s a woman. I think a majority of people who voted in this election did so in spite of their many misgivings about the character of both candidates. That’s why it’s very dangerous to argue that Clinton supporters condone lying under oath and obstructing justice. Just as it’s equally dangerous to suggest a Trump supporter condones gross generalizations about foreigners and women.
 "These two candidates were the choices we gave ourselves, and each came with a heaping helping of vulgarity and impropriety. Yeah, it was dirty job for sure, but the winner was NOT decided by a racist and craven nation – it was decided by millions of disgusted Americans desperate for real change. The people did not want a politician. The people wanted to be seen. Donald Trump convinced those people that he could see them. Hillary Clinton did not."

Why we need an Electoral College

Get Smart Week, November 14-20

 Image result for Executive orders

Get Smart About Antibiotics Week is an annual one-week observance by the CDC to raise awareness of the threat of antibiotic resistance and the importance of appropriate antibiotic prescribing and use based on a September 2015 Executive Order. https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2014/09/18/executive-order-combating-antibiotic-resistant-bacteria

Not all Executive Orders are bad or life changing. The numbers of them mean little.  FDR is the all time winner, and Bill Clinton issued more than either Bush or Obama.  It will take some research to find out if all the committees and boards on the antibiotics week (Executive Order 12353 of March 23, 1982 revised) have reported to the President. To check others, and to see if you think Congress should have been involved: https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/executive-orders

 I read through the change order for revising the wording of collecting funds and volunteer time from federal employees for distribution to voluntary organizations, and not sure I could understand the legalize. In central Ohio we get "Bucks for Charity" which is October 3-November 30 (I just received mine yesterday) listing 300 local charitable organizations to support.  I always read this carefully--many are organizations that I would never donate to. I think it's better to know the organizations personally and donate with discrimination.

I wrote about this in 2006 and found an acronym COSMO, Community Share of Mid Ohio, which appeared to get 10% of the total, and then it's organizations received percentages of that.  Here were some groups I would never donate to individually.

  •  ACLU mid-Ohio chapter, 18.8%;

    BRAVO, which works to eliminate violence perpetrated on the basis of sexual orientation and gender, 31%;

    Kaleidoscope for gay, lesbian, bixexual, transgendered and questioning youth, 14.8%;

    NARAL Pro-Choice (formerly known as National Abortion Rights Action League, then the National Abortion & Reproductive Rights Action League, but it still kills babies);

    Coalition on sexual assault;

    domestic violence network, 5.7%;

    NOW education and Legal Fund, 12% (recently changed its name to Legal Momentum apparently to hide its connection to NOW);

    Open Hand for AIDS, 15%;

    Stonewall (gay rights), 19.1%;

    a variety of environmental, disability, animal rights, and arts groups;

    Camp Fire, 28%; Cat Welfare 1%; and Habitat for Humanity, 4.9%.
Cat Welfare is still on the list, which I think is not right (even though our sweet kitty lived there in her youth) as is NARAL.  What is Stonewall using its money for now?  Hormones for sexually confused children?

Let's start this with prayer

The storm after the calm

 Image result for storm sunrise

The calm and good words after the acceptance speech by Trump and transition good wishes by Obama and Clinton were short lived (I thought all three plus Ryan's were excellent). I saw on TV about crowds protesting in big cities. I think there was a group at our state house here in Columbus, but our governor is worthless, so not sure what they wanted. He was a candidate (won one state) and vowed to support the nominee, but stayed home and pouted.

In NYC a Fox reporter tried to interview protestors about whether they had voted, but he couldn’t get any responses. In numbers, Trump beat both Romney (2012) and Obama (2008) in a number of key states like Ohio and Florida. People who don’t vote shouldn’t protest. Probably backed by George Soros, but maybe he’s a convenient excuse—social media has the power to rouse large crowds from nowhere. Black Lives Matter was virtually silent during the campaign closing weeks, and seems to have found its voice again. Magic strings on flexible puppets.

And where are all those celebrities who promised to leave the U.S.A. Probably checked up on the tax liabilities. Or found out their fan base was pretty weak in Australia and Canada. Just go to your safe space, Miley. Some public schools are providing counseling and pizza for those traumatized students upset with the election.

Gender dysphoria

Why is our government, specifically the Department of Education, pushing the fantasy of transgenderism in children? Every cell in the human body marks us either male or female--it's not just the genitals, or a "feeling" or putting on lipstick and a padded bra. Sex is not assigned at birth as the LGBTQ activists try to brainwash us; we are that way from the beginning and we remain who we are until death, at which time we really do transition.

The DoEd has been allowed to change the meaning of the word sex in Title IX (originally intended to protect women and girls in school activities) without any input from Congress. DoEd encourages children and their parents to pursue a harmful phony therapy that may involve puberty blockers, cross sex hormones, artificial penises and vaginas, future sterility and many health problems. The children need counseling, not chest binders, hormones and more sex saturated activism.

Anorexics think they are fat; some boys think they are girls and vice versa. Some people think they need amputations of fingers or ears. Some people pretend to be crippled, or purposefully injure themselves. We don't require the community to encourage their fantasy/nightmare. Children most of the time outgrow these fantasies of being the opposite sex, but even if they didn't, fewer than 1% of the population have the problem. When I was six I pretended I was a horse, and I'm so glad no one took it too seriously even though I ran around on all fours, and made whinnying sounds.

 I'd like to see future president Trump put a complete halt to this child abuse and bullying of teachers and parents sanctioned by the government.

Women want a sugar daddy--big government

Mrs. Clinton called millions of women deplorable and irredeemable. Each year she approves of the death of at least 9,000 females in late term abortions who could live outside the womb. And many thousands more if you count the annual total killed by Planned Parenthood which she admires and which contributes to her campaigns. She has committed multiple fiscal crimes with her Foundation selling favors to foreign governments that would send anyone else to jail. Her record as Secretary of State is beyond terrible. I just don't get it--white, college educated women who have voted for her--why do you think she should be the first female president? Because she's white and college educated like you?  That's the best you can do? And blacks and minorities? She wants you to stay on the plantation. Democrats have been making the same promises for the last 60 years. And you keep rewarding them by giving them power over you.

When has Mr. Trump said this about females?

"According to the Guttmacher Institute, Planned Parenthood's research arm, 1.06 million abortions occurred in the United States in 2011. We know that Hillary Clinton's pro-abortion agenda will be an aggressive, radical expansion of Barack Obama's policies over the last 8 years. We simply CANNOT give another 4 years to a pro-abortion President." (Ohio Right to Life, Nov. 8, 2016)

About 18,000 of those abortions were 3rd trimester, when the child could live outside the womb. Those abortions happen when the parents split, or a disability is discovered, or the baby is the wrong gender. Mrs. Clinton supports this and renames this "reproductive health." Half of them would be female, or 9,000. Has Trump ever suggested killing 9,000 females?

Which future do you want for our country?

In one state, it's about bathrooms this election

In one state the election has come down to bathrooms and child abuse. North Carolina. Without any input from Congress (whom we elect) a group of unelected bureaucrats in Washington decided in 2012 transgenderism would be the next civil rights movement. There is no medical diagnosis for gender dysphoria--it's completely subjective--how a person feels. The surgery and hormone treatments are becoming a big busine$$. Doctors can administer hormone treatment based on what a child wants (or his parents). Surgery is supposed to not happen until age 18, but doctors also get around that. It's child abuse.

Puberty blockers that are not safe for children are administered as young as 11 or 12. These affect development and fertility and no one knows the long term effects because this is the first generation to be used as lab rats in a social experiment. The puberty blockers affect their sexual development when paired with cross-hormones and may stunt their growth, bone density and brain development. There is the potential for osteoporosis, blood clots, cancer and a higher risk for heart disease and diabetes. Cross sex hormones have irreversible effects on fertility.

You see, sex is not a feeling, it's biology. You can outgrow feelings; you don't outgrow your biology. Most of these kids would grow up to be normal, and if not, let them decide after counseling if this is really what they want. Transgenderism is less than 1% of the population, and among children, most will outgrow it. For that fraction of a percent we need to traumatize normal children?

Remember the Kinsey experiments on children?

Donna Brazile's apology for leaking debate questions

When a Democrat (Donna Brazile) apologizes for a crime and loss of trust by the public, this is what it sounds like.

“My conscience — as an activist, a strategist — is very clear,” the interim chair of the Democratic National Committee said Monday during a satellite radio interview with liberal activist and SiriusXM host Joe Madison. She added that “if I had to do it all over again, I would know a hell of a lot more about cybersecurity.” (Washington Post, Nov. 7)

Translated:  "Don't get caught." A vote for Clinton is a vote for more of the same.

Vote today for real change

No one called Trump a racist, homophobe, sexist, etc. before he came up against the Clinton Machine (with whom he used to pal around as just another rich guy) and the DNC. His record for hiring and promoting women and minorities is exemplary and there are dozens of YouTube testimonials about his behavior, professionalism, etc. But, he chose not to run as a Democrat; he could have--I think he has been both over the years, and contributed to the Clinton Foundation which is now under 5 different FBI investigations. BTW, the administrative costs for his foundation is 1%; the average for foundations is 2%. Wouldn’t it be nice if we had a politician who cared about costs and could bring government costs down?

Mrs. Clinton on the other hand has been using mafia/mob techniques for 30 years to stay ahead of the law. First thing in the White House 25 years ago as FLOTUS she fired the travel staff and turned that lucrative job over to her friends. Then she tried to take over health insurance—she even brags that there was Hillarycare before Obamacare. Her name and image should be attached to the definition of GRIFTER.

Image result for Grifter Clinton

 I'm a one issue voter, LIFE, and that includes at our end of the time line, and convicted murderers. I am over 70 and are you are next. But first she must further downgrade God's creation and purpose--has to lower the age of consent, bless polygamy and also incest. Democrats are obsessed with sex while calling people names and saying they own American values.
 Image result for abortion Clinton

The best reason to elect Trump is that he is the ultimate outsider, he’s the change candidate—didn’t vote for war, hasn’t raised our taxes or stolen our health insurance. He didn’t poison Flint’s water, and he hasn’t approved a pipeline. He hasn’t cheated our veterans, or told pastors what they can preach and bakers what they can decorate. He actually uses his own money to help people.  It will be worth it just to have a president who can’t get a thing past Congress and who constantly keeps Media investigating rather than giving him a free ride like they did Obama and all Democrats.

Are we better than a banana republic?

We know the DNC chose the Democrat candidate, but also indirectly it chose Donald Trump by directing their friends in media to give him more air time (this all came out in Wikileaks). Donna Brizile got questions; Wolf Blitzer got questions, both CNN. http://dailycaller.com/2016/11/06/wikileaks-emails-cnn-asked-dnc-for-questions-for-interviews-with-trump-cruz/ The DNC figured he was the weakest of a very strong group, and therefore the easiest for their flawed, criminal, aging and health challenged candidate to beat (she had a brain blood clot in 2012 and is hypothyroid, neither fatal, but energy draining from weight gain and blood thinners and both can cause mental confusion). In any other year, for anyone... not named Clinton. . . her health issues alone would disqualify her. Remember all the rumors the Democrats started about McCain in 2008 because of his age (younger than she is now)?

The Democrats and many powerful Republicans got a surprise. The American people were sick of business as usual, and liked the idea of a non-politician not beholden to lobbyists, party poo-bahs, think tank "non-profits" and unions. Also, Americans wanted just about anyone but another Clinton.

Then Wikileaks came, Bill's 45 minute secret meeting with Lynch, then FBI investigation, Project Veritas videos, huge increases in Obamacare, and the media's role in this began dribbling out--it had been rigging the debates by giving Clinton the questions. Yesterday and today—new revelations about Chelsea’s wedding and living for a decade on payouts from the Clinton Foundation. Sickening, but will be ignored. Not a sex story.

The Clinton campaign really had to hustle to find ancient stories, mostly about sex, crude language and taxes that were legal. Her Foundation has 150x the resources of the Trump Foundation, but the media could only focus on his. He actually uses his wealth for good with no payback or tax breaks; she uses her wealth to destroy the trust of the citizens. Her foundation has five criminal investigations ongoing getting very little media attention and it's the day before the election. http://dailycaller.com/2016/10/30/now-five-fbi-field-offices-are-probing-clinton-charity-adding-fuel-to-the-fire/

And this is the government we tell the world is so great they need to be like us and send refugees?

Sauce for the goose is not sauce for the gander

Jay-Z performed at a Mrs. Clinton rally on Friday (only way she can get a crowd) and the language was so bad, including "give a finger to the Lord" plus lots of N-word. This is what Michelle Obama says is OK for the White House, but she must protect her children from Trump's crude talk. Jay-Z is not lewd. Only if Trump said something 11 years ago. CBS was VERY critical of Trump for even mentioning it!

New FBI Comey announcement

Democrats are so unhappy that Trump may have used his foundation donations (I think he's the only one who donates) for a portrait. Now Wikileaks shows some of Chelsea's wedding costs may have been covered by the Clinton Foundation, and Chelsea may have her own tax problems. Trump's foundation is about 1/150th the size of Clintons' and he donates about 60%; she donates about 6%.

James Comey announced today that Mrs. Clinton is just reckless, negligent and careless as in July and he can't find additional criminal charges in the e-mails residing on the laptop of a pedophile married to her long time staffer. Isn't that a crime?

Tuesday. Who wins?

If  Donald Trump wins on Tuesday, we know what will happen. Hillary Clinton won't spend a day in prison, won't even go to trial, even as more is revealed of her dishonesty and corruption. Today the big story is about her maid printing off classified e-mails. (A Filipino maid?  Can't these people every hire an American?)  But the big story should be about how careless and stupid Mrs. Clinton is.  Little people who did much less will stay in prison and continue to speak out to no avail. Obama will still have his legacy of doing nothing for blacks as the first black president and total adoration by the left. I've been very critical of Obama these last 8 years over his policies that are detrimental for the country, but stupid and careless he is not!

 Donald Trump will only be able to slightly slow down the growth of government corruption and power because he will have no support from either party and we'll go through this again in 4 years. But perhaps by then, more conservatives will have recognized what a mess the Republican Party is, kicked out the Never Trumpers and the RINOs and built something from the ground up.

The KKK charges. Really?

Hillary Clinton, whose mentor in her career was a klansman, whom neither she nor her party ever condemned, has dug deep in her bag of tricks to say the "official newspaper" of the KKK has endorsed Trump. The KKK was the terrorist arm of the Democrats in the 19th and 20th century, and that's not taught in the schools--wasn't even taught in the 50s when I was in school. They aren't terrorists now--probably get together at the bar, drink beer, and talk about granddaddy's day. Democrats now use government grants to do that, such as removing children's education federal money if their school doesn't accept transgenderism which was never voted on by Congress.

 The KKK is a club in dirty sheets who have no power, no credibility, but they must love it when the good old Democrats give them so much credit. Puts them right up there with the JV team of ISIS.

Donald Trump has committed to

  • protecting the Hyde Amendment so taxpayers will not be forced to pay for abortion,
  • defunding Planned Parenthood as long as it is providing abortions,
  • speaking boldly against the barbaric practice of partial-birth abortion and its defenders,
  • appointing justices who will reverse Roe v. Wade and return the issue to the states, and
  • overturning the Johnson Amendment which has prevented pastors from speaking up on matters of politics

Transgenda; abuse and regret in the sex change industry

 The sex-change industry is a fraud, according to Alex P. Serritella.  They are hustlers in lab coats, peddling a product that doesn't exist.  There is no such thing as a sex change, but it is a billion-dollar industry.  You're being duped if you believe this.

Q.  What is the most shocking thing you discovered in researching the book?

A: The fact that child abuse is rampant in the sex-change industry. This is not a matter of “consenting adults only”, as people are led to believe. These are drastic, life-altering treatments done on children as young as nine. It sterilizes them for life and causes permanent damage to their bodies during crucial years of growth. Are children really capable of making such a huge decision? Obviously not. They will inevitably regret it, as most of them do.

Q: It seems like the transgender population has exploded in recent years. Why is that?

A: It all goes back to the reclassification of gender identity disorder in the DSM-5. The American Psychiatric Association had originally declared transgenderism to be a mental illness in 1980. Then they did an inexplicable reversal in 2012, and stated that it is no longer a mental illness. There is no medical or scientific justification for the change. There was no new evidence or discovery on which the change was based. It was purely a decision made to serve a hidden agenda. Since gender identity disorder, now called gender dysphoria, is officially not a mental illness, it is now considered a medical condition, meaning that it is covered by most insurance plans, and is now included in most anti-discrimination policies. This is basically an invitation for people to try a sex change.

Q: How prevalent is sex-change regret?

A: A lot more than people realize. From what I’ve seen and read, the rate of regret is virtually 100%. Transitioning will only bring a short-term, superficial satisfaction that will inevitably fade away when reality sets in. These people are delusional and they are being exploited. The doctors make a fortune on sex-change treatment, then they make another fortune on reversal treatment. That’s why it’s so unconscionable to perform this treatment on children. Eventually, trans people will accept themselves for who they are. It’s unfortunate that they will have mutilated bodies by the time they do.

 These and other trans-related issues are probed in the book, Transgenda; abuse and regret in the sex-change industry, by Alex P. Serritella.    It paints a far different picture of transgenderism than the one you hear in the news.

Dear Democrat voters upset about Trump

Donald Trump never voted in Congress for war. He never voted to create a Department of Education which would take away our local control of schools. He never ignored lead pipes or lead paint when science showed the danger. He never voted to raise our taxes for pet projects using trillions of dollars. He never took away Americans' health insurance when 80% were satisfied with it.

Mr. Trump never backed building a dam or laying a pipeline changing local agriculture and the culture of minorities. He never bowed to foreign officials or monarchs. He's never made a judgment on whether babies should be dismembered in the 3rd trimester, nor issued an executive order at a Catholic University that violated church teaching. He's never asked his wife to upend the nutritionists' training and degrees who work at public schools. He's never handed over U.S. sovereignty to foreign powers to be taxed for something happening for millions of years--climate change.

Mr. Trump has not released known felons into the general population based on their race, and terrorists to their homelands. He's never denigrated millions of fellow citizens as trash, clingers to Bible and guns, or called them deplorable or irredeemable. He's never attended the funeral of a teenager for political gain or lied to the parents of dead Americans. He's never given speeches in Muslim countries or Wall Street banks with expectation of payback. He's never cheated Haitians in rebuilding their country after an earthquake, or helped pharmaceutical companies charge outrageous prices for essential drugs.

Yet, the sex-obsessed Democrats, who love sexually explicit entertainment even in the White House in front of children, who believe that the sexual mutilation of adults and children is a civil right to be protected, who demand integrated bathrooms and absurd pronouns in the classroom, who destroy small businesses like florists and bakeries with law suits because they don't accept the Democrats' blessing of all sexual behavior . . . say Donald Trump is lewd and crude in sexual matters.

Mr. Trump has many flaws and he wasn’t our first choice. But at least we had a choice. You Democrats had none—the DNC decided it for you.

Donald Trump is a wild card on abortion; Hillary Clinton is not

 Trump is a wild card on abortion, and unknown, in my opinion. Mrs. Clinton is not. She will allow abortion for any reason, any time, and any place. Has the boyfriend left--there goes the baby. Has a new test discovered the baby will have club feet and no football career? Outta here. Changed your mind on sex? Bye, bye, little girl. Just as Mr. Trump tells his base what it wants to hear, so Mrs. Clinton is telling her base what they want to hear also, and unfortunately what she believes to the bottom of her dark, dark soul.

Bernard Abramson, founder of NARAL, aborted about 60,000 babies, but later changed his mind and became very active in the pro-life movement. He had been an atheist and later converted to Catholicism in the 90s, although he was pro-life long before his conversion. He's the narrator on the most famous anti-abortion film, "Silent Scream." People do change. Norma McCorvey, the Roe in Roe v. Wade, which legalized killing millions of Americans, never actually had an abortion because the feminist lawyers just used her for their case, but she did believe in it. She also became an active pro-lifer many years later. People do change. I don't think Mrs. Clinton will. She's a pathological liar, a criminal, and a hater of women and the unborn. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gON-8PP6zgQ

This election is a continental divide for the United States in morality

This is well worth a listen.  Much longer than the sermons I'm used to, but you can get the gist in the first 20 minutes. My take away from this sermon at the Denton Bible Church:

Both candidates are seriously flawed.  Both are children of the 60s, of modernism.  But now we’re in the post-modern age. There is no foundation for truth.  Assumptions of 200 years have vanished. We are being beaten with our own stick--relativism.   Our silence in the churches has contributed.   The post modern trajectory will either be slowed down or speeded up in this election depending on which party wins.  The Democrats are not the problem--this has been the direction for 100 years. We are voting for a party platform, and this year it’s a continental divide and it’s theological--what is right and what is wrong. It’s no longer just economics or defense or foreign policy.  Never in the history of America have concepts in these platforms been considered moral or right. The shift is from God to man, from man to modernism, from modernism to post modernism.  We are not voting just for a candidate.  The President of the U.S. is in charge of the military and appointing justices according to the Constitution.  Everything else is steering a barge, but electing a Democrat in 2016 is putting the presidency on jet skis.
"It must be said that probably few of us had Donald Trump as our first choice. He wasn’t mine. I was Cruz, Rubio, then Carson because they were open Christians. Most of us said, “What would you do if it came down to Trump?” Well it did because the Republicans Party chose Donald Trump and entrusted him with their platform.

We all recognize that he’s somewhat unlikeable. We also recognize that it’s somewhat scary to have a fellow as hard -nosed as he is to be in discussions with foreign leaders who can be on the edge. And we recognize that he is untested in politics and we could all have egg on our faces in the coming years. I assure you I will be praying earnestly for Michael Pence to guide him in the civility of politics. But those things “might be,” as indeed in all elections there is a “might be” involved in all leaders. But the Democratic platform is not a “might be.” It’s a “gonna be.” A “will be.”

Donald Trump is scary because of the unknown. Hillary is scary because of the fear of the known. . . I was taught not to lie down. I will vote to oppose the loss of our freedom and the loss of life and the loss of the traditional family."

Clinton on late term abortion

When moderator Chris Wallace asked the question about partial birth abortion (aka late-term termination) Mrs. Clinton refused to back down on her anti-life stand. In fact, she doubled down. The next day some leftists took to social media to assure us there is no such thing as a ninth month abortion where the baby is ripped out of the womb. But Abby Johnson who is a former staffer for Planned Parenthood says there are about 18,000 late term abortions a year, often because the parents have split or a disability has been discovered in the child. Also, whether the language is ripped out, cut out or expelled by a powerful chemical that starts labor, probably depends on your perspective--whether you’re the one being extracted or the one doing the removal.

What is perjury and how to spell it?

I've become too accustomed to having my spell check catch my typos and memory lapses (don't have it for FB on my old computer). Today I couldn't remember how to spell PERJURY. I tried purgery, and purjery--and even my spell check which underlined it couldn't figure out what I wanted to say. Nothing looked right. But I knew what it was--the offense of willfully telling an untruth in a court after having taken an oath or affirmation. It's a bit more expansive in the U.S. Code than the dictionary.

Whoever—

(1) having taken an oath before a competent tribunal, officer, or person, in any case in which a law of the United States authorizes an oath to be administered, that he will testify, declare, depose, or certify truly, or that any written testimony, declaration, deposition, or certificate by him subscribed, is true, willfully and contrary to such oath states or subscribes any material matter which he does not believe to be true; or

(2) in any declaration, certificate, verification, or statement under penalty of perjury as permitted under section 1746 of title 28, United States Code, willfully subscribes as true any material matter which he does not believe to be true; is guilty of perjury and shall, except as otherwise expressly provided by law, be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both. This section is applicable whether the statement or subscription is made within or without the United States.

So, is it perjury if the person is incapable of telling the truth, as Mrs. Clinton appears to be? Is it perjury if her chief of staff hid 650,000 emails on her husband's laptop when Mrs. Clinton said under oath she only deleted 33,000? She believes her lies to be true.

The direction of the culture--down the toilets

The Weiner/Abedin laptop is being used in a pedophile sexting investigation because she downloaded 650,000 e-mails to it for back up even knowing about her husband's bizarre behavior. If nothing else, it shows really bad judgment by a woman who was aiming for the White House as chief staffer.

However, considering the direction our culture is going, I'm guessing pedophilia will just be a career enhancement in about 5 years and the 20-something crowd will think millennials and gen-xers of 2016 were so bigoted and pedphobic. There's been a man/boy/love organization for years working to abolish age of consent laws. Remember all this bathroom regulation for schools and your kids came out of the dark locker rooms of bureaucrats, not the elected Congress.

Update:  So far in the investigation they have not found duplicates among the 650,000 e-mails.  Isn't that perjury?

John Podesta, Peter Kadzik, Hillary Clinton and Herb Sandler

John Podesta is Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman.
  • He’s best friends with Peter J. Kadzik, a senior official at the Department of Justice, which oversees the FBI.
  • The FBI is investigating Mrs. Clinton on two fronts—her emails (now expanded to the 650,000 on Weiner’s laptop), and the Clinton Foundation pay to play scandal.
  • Kadzik led the cover-up of the Obama Administration’s targeting of conservative and Tea Party nonprofits in the last presidential election cycle.
  • Podesta is paid $7,000 per month to be an advisor to the Sandler Foundation.
  • Herb Sandler, the founder, is a major donor to the Clinton campaign and radical groups like ACORN.
  • Sandler and his savings-and-loan empire was involved in the 2008 housing collapse.
  • Podesta helped his friend Sandler with the fall out from the burst bubble he helped create.

Chicago Cubs win in 10th inning--no more goat curse

Image may contain: 3 people , people smiling , baseball
 Well-worn legend dictated that the Cubs would never win another World Series thanks to the Curse of the Billy Goat.

Yes, I stayed awake to watch.  Had to turn off my antenna TV during the rain delay because it automatically goes off after 3.5 hours.  Then I turned it back on in about 15 minutes to see what was happening. A really stunning game, I don't even care much for sports.  I was rooting for the Cubs, whereas most of Ohio was for the Indians.  Both team played a magnificent game.

My grandmother was blind and was a huge Cubs fan, always listened carefully to their games on the radio. She was only 13 in 1908 when they last won the World Series, and probably was completely unaware of them having lived most of her life up to that time in Tennessee. They weren't on the radio until 1935, and the two oldest sons were already married and away from home. So I'm guessing that's about the time she became a fan. We celebrated All Saints Day this month, and I know Grandma was cheering them on.
