Don’t underestimate the enemy

It concerns me that so many on social media underestimate Alexandria Ocasio Cortez. She doesn't say stupid things--she twists about 10% truth and 90% star struck socialism. She's had great coaching, is attractive, media savvy, and like President Trump, will not be brought down by jokes and trolling. Unfortunately, her message appeals to many young people who will be voting. She and other leftists are after our first, second, fourth amendments, our faith, values, wealth, property, families, pronouns and they wish to destroy the results of the 2016 election.

She was hired by a leftist political agency to be a Trojan Horse inside the government. Attractive, well educated, "worker" background, uninformed district with low voter turnout, sycophant media coverage. The perfect storm.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

You can't get away from the media going after every negative comment about Trump in the Mueller report, lifting sentences out of context--ignoring he's not guilty, nor is any American guilty of assisting Russia. That should be good news, but I think it displays how half the country is going to experience this.

I had ABC on this morning--they are just breathless, panting and drooling. I wonder how any of them would respond to charges against them when they knew they were innocent--like robbery of a neighbor or domestic violence accusations by an ex, and then an investigation of everyone including the doorman and manicurist who came in contact with them. Would denial, rage and evidence be considered obstruction? I know a few men and women battling the ex's for years over college tuition bills, medical bills, mortgage, and it goes on and on and they are desperate. I know people still carrying grudges and imagining things 30-40 years after a divorce.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

The Trump Derangement Syndrome defies belief: "On Thursday, a New York Post reporter tweeted that President Donald Trump played the song "Edelweiss" at the White House. The New York Times's White House correspondent, Maggie Haberman, suggested the song was a Nazi anthem, inspiring rightful backlash on Twitter. She seemed to stick with this false view, even after she was called out on it."  (PJ Media)  Nadler and Schiff are dying from this disease.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Bernie Sanders at the Fox Town Hall this week claimed ending the life of a late term child was rare. . . "Terrorism doesn’t happen every day either. Does that mean we should shutdown Homeland Security? And if it’s so rare, then what’s the problem? End it. If murder is wrong, then it’s wrong every time. The law doesn’t suddenly kick when you hit a certain quota. If there’s a gunman on the scene, police don’t wait for the casualties to pile up before they act. A life is a life. I guarantee if it were Bernie Sanders’s child dying on a hospital table and doctors refused to treat him, he wouldn’t say, “Well, that’s your decision.” Rareness doesn’t equal rightness." --Tony Perkins.

Kahina is Romanian and lived under Communism—posted on FaceBook

“By the time I was born, in '83, România, my country, has been a Communist country for three decades and Ceaușescu has been leader for 16 years. There was no legal private enterprise and no private property. All the factories and farms belonged to the state, and even a man' s chicken and milk cow were "state property". The peasants that haven't been arrested for doing too well had to either work in the communal farm or give milk, eggs and produce to the state. Intellectuals, factory and business owners, well off farmers, they were all arrested as enemies of the People and either killed or sent to work camps. The country 's brightest and most hard working were culled out.
After visiting North Korea and seeing the leader worshiping there, Ceaușescu insisted on having the same thing for himself and his wife, back home. If you browse YouTube you will find the sickening way he got fawned upon. And God help you if you didn't play along.

There was no such thing as free speech or freedom of association. They cut down the central park in my town so people couldn't sit on a bench and talk. More than 3 people talking together could be arrested for colluding, if one was known by authorities for making a bad joke 5 years ago.

And then food and energy got rationed.

You see, we were a great producer of grain before communism, and a fair producer even after. But Ceaușescu got it into his head that we needed industry, so he got several loans to buy old technology nobody knew how to use anyway, and got us into debt. And... He wanted to pay it in record time, so he can prove the Decadent West how well communism worked.

So he starved us.

My parents would wake up at 4 in the morning, go sit in queues reaching hundreds of meters. Rain or cold, everybody would file out, waiting to buy their ration. You would get half a bread per day. That was the main food, to this day we eat bread with anything. A kilogram of oil and sugar per month. A kilogram of meat and one of processed meat per month. Don't be fooled, "meat" doesn't mean prime cuts. Bags of chicken ribcages necks and claws were known as "tacâm". Pig's feet were known as "patriots", since it was the only part not exported.

You would also have the right of buying 166 kilograms of vegetable per year.

Whatever not on this list was illegally sold, and could bring jail or forced labour, both ending most often in death.

Coffee, sweets and other "luxuries" were contraband. Most couldn't afford them. Owning western music or listening to pirate radios that transmitted it could see you arrested too. Being arrested for Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds or some Michael Jackson... What a sham....

In 1989 I was 7. People have had enough and the powder keg blew over the arrest of a catholic priest in the west of the country. And then it just spread. The army decided to rebel, and it joined the masses. The dictator tried to flee, but he was caught, tried and shot on Christmas Day 1989.

I remember that day. Or the day after.

We left grandma's house to go back to our apartment. Armed people stopped us to check for guns, but everybody was grinning. On our way they saw a queue. Oranges, a very rare find. One of my parents stayed behind, the other took us home. Dad had a tree hidden away, and he chopped it, put it into place and we decorated it, and I got the first orange I remember, a pair of red stockings and Freedom that Christmas. A precious gift.

My country has discovered capitalism, if not the values of the Right. We are flourishing, though the tendency of giving the State all the  power is still there. We are still a left leaning society, though we work to improve.

Once given away, Freedom is hard to get back. And it always costs blood. And all those who tell you about the value of equality of outcome, about socialized health care, about "paying your fair share", well, they might mean well. But Evil, true Evil, comes in small steps and with the best of intentions.

I didn't like Trump. Personally, I still wouldn't have him over for dinner. But he is a great choice for you, as a president. Keeping the US great, keeping your freedom, remaining a beacon of freedom and hope for the world, these are true ideals. Good ones.

Thank you for fighting the good fight.

Freedom isn't free.”

Racism in the library profession

I've often mentioned at my blog the overwhelming list to the left of the library profession--a study done about 20 years ago said 223:1, making the profession more liberal than the ACLU, most university faculties, and probably the American Communist Party. So Library Journal (the "premier" publication of the American Library Association) this week tweeted "Library collections continue to promote and proliferate whiteness with their very existence and the fact that they are physically taking up space in our libraries." The journal's Twitter account then linked to an article [it was a blog] written by a Sofia Y. Leung, who describes herself as an "academic librarian" and lists intersectional feminism, social justice, and cats as things she likes. LJ should be ashamed for providing such drivel and being so racist--even if it was a blog post by a nobody.

I'm not surprised libraries are rolling in whiteness. The public library movement was started by women's clubs who thought literacy was important for 20th century Americans. The clubs, were social and educational and like the nation, segregated, but both white women and black women developed what came to be known as the public library--open to all who lived in the community or a small fee for those outside the jurisdiction. Libraries were established by white middle women, they were intended to serve the middle class and promote middle class values (education, family, children, marriage, religion, patriotism, leisure, home making skills, etc.), the library schools graduate primarily white middle class students and through bond issues have traditionally been supported by middle class white people.

Librarians have been promoting every progressive goal, especially women's rights, civil rights, environmentalism, and Democratic politics for as long as I can remember--and I first worked in the town library in Mt. Morris when I was a teen-ager. They have burdened themselves with LGBTQ movement, the HIV epidemic, income gaps (although they've not been successful in raising their own salaries above the EITC level), health disparities, domestic violence, etc., and I'm sure 90% of public librarians (and staff) are on board for the Green New Deal.

Being a middle class white institution brings some baggage, particularly guilt, for living and working in such abundance and freedom--our public support, our education, our wealth as a country. So this intersectionalist librarian Ms. Leung (an academic near as I can tell) is just following in the steps of her foremothers believing in 2019 that white people just take up space. Maybe her library can create separate restrooms, water fountains, and separate entrances for white people. It worked before for Democrats when they created Jim Crow facilities.

Charitable donations by Democrat candidates

Oh yes, the tax returns are coming out.  We have a taxpayers Bill of Rights and #7 says you can’t be forced to share your information. But they are running for 2020 White House.  Bernie is a millionaire and Beto gives a few dollars for charity—probably donated his old cowboy boots or a truck to Volunteers of America and took a donation.

This has been known for years--not about Sanders specifically, but Democrats, liberals, progressives, etc. are not generous with their own money, but love to give away and transfer your wealth. Usually when they throw their hat into the ring, they up the donations (Obama’s donations soared in 2007). About 60% of the federal budget goes for safety net programs, and there are about 123 wealth transfer programs, then there are the local and state taxes. So I can see Dems say "I gave at tax time," but instead they'd rather complain that Republicans are stingy and don't care about the poor. The top 20% of earners pay 84% of the taxes, but that doesn't keep the Democrats from demanding socialism for the middle class.

Nothing helps a poor man like a job, and President Trump has certainly helped the poor.  And I’m on a pension (which doesn’t go up or down) but my own investments made more the first quarter than I ever did while working.  We shouldn’t become complacent, however.  Recessions go around about every decade.  There have been 2 since I retired in 2000.  So don’t stop being charitable just because of changes in tax laws.  That’s not why we do it.

Notre Dame and 3 black churches

Don Lemon of CNN when reporting on the donors for Notre Dame rebuilding thought it part of that story to focus on the 3 black churches recently victims of arson. Donations for that went up too (although not for all the other French churches that have been torched, vandalized and desecrated in recent years.)

In the 1960s, church arson was a favorite tactic of--wait for it--Democrats in the South. Just like Jim Crow and KKK belongs to them. About 2 decades ago there was a rash of reported church fires, and a special commission was formed by Clinton to investigate. Then it was later disbanded--apparently only 16% were intentionally set, and some of those were to claim insurance. It seems that no one had been collecting the data, and when they did--guess what--all of a sudden big increase--just like the hate crimes skewed stats. And the news stories we would get about black churches came from a far left activist group, the Center for Democratic Renewal. There had actually been a dramatic decrease, not increase.

". . . the National Fire Protection Association. . . data don’t break down churches by race, they do show a dramatic drop in the number of church arsons — from 1,420 in 1980 to 520 in 1994. While arson committed against a house of worship is a heinous crime, it should be reassuring to know there have been far fewer recently [1996] than in years past.

So where did the story of black church burnings come from? It turns out the main source is the Center for Democratic Renewal, a group whose mission, says its promotional literature, is to work "with progressive activists and organizations to build a movement to counter right-wing rhetoric and public policy initiatives." Originally called the National Anti-Klan Network, it changed its name when the Klan largely fell apart in the 1980s. But instead of seeing that as a sign of declining bigotry, the CDR has continued for more than a decade to issue statements and reports "discovering" a sudden resurgence in racist activity." (Wall St. Journal, July 8, 1996)

So fomenting racial unrest is nothing new on the left--it's just been taken to a new level using a fire in France to a thousand year old cathedral as tinder.

Democrats and Never Trumpers (usually Republicans)

Can you be specific about what makes Trump a racist, Nazi and homophobe? I follow the news very carefully and have seen nothing. Now, Jussie Smollett they’ve got on tape, plus witnesses that he paid them, and even so all the charges were dropped seemingly because some rock star did something more serious and was charged with less. When Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was asked on a talk show what were his impeachable offenses, she just stammered and bluffed. Nothing.

President Trump called MS-13, a gang from El Salvador (although I think it was formed by LA illegal immigrants), “animals,” because of the rape and murder (animals probably don’t do that except for food), although I’ve never seen the evidence—that’s what the MSM said, and I do believe that. Trump has been called far worse by prominent figures on the left. Salvadoran police have been killed by the dozens in each of the past three years, most in attacks that investigators and experts blame on MS-13, an international street gang. At least nine officers were killed in the first month of this year.” (Washington Post, March 3, 2019)

Have you seen footage of the caravans on TV? Brown people? I’ve seen very few. Mexico is 60% white, and Central America a little less. The U.S. is 70% white, and Canada about 90%. And those “refugees” are very well dressed for a thousand mile walk and being supported by leftist non-profits in the U.S.

And what do you think about sanctuary cities being off-limits—that it’s “political” to send illegals there but not to small town America in order to turn red states blue?   Obama even bussed them to Columbus, Ohio. I think OSU students marched around the state house in joy. Oh, the Democrats are really raging when they find out illegals, including gang members, might be in their back yards instead of Texas, Arizona, or New Mexico. Do you think that’s political?

President Trump said there were good people on both sides of the destruction of statues of Civil War southerners in Charlottesville, and CNN cut and diced the video/audio that so it looked like he said the skin head protestors were good people. And perhaps you noticed, knocking down those statues didn’t satisfy the radicals—now they are going after Founding Fathers, and white men whose names are on universities—even going after Ben Carson, because he works for Trump

With only 2% of the population, Jews experience the highest rate of hate crime, and Ilhan Omar is ratcheting up the hate for Jews. Democrats are in hiding and not saying much.  She’s a Democrat. Trump’s daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren are Jews. If he’s an anti-Semite Nazi, he’s not very good at it.

Hate crimes haven’t gone up with Trump, except the hoaxes and the “resistance” knocking people down for wearing his slogan—the rate is actually lower than 2016 since more agencies are reporting than in 2016.

The president was in the entertainment field, so I seriously doubt he’s against gays, because they are very popular on TV and in movies and in the production and arts. It was Obama who pardoned the transgender guy who gave military secrets to the enemy.

Trump made a switch and is now pro-life (when he was a Democrat I suspect he was pro-choice), but I don’t think you all have made the switch to believing babies should be killed in the 9th month of pregnancy, even if Bernie says it’s rare (how many is the right number? 10? 100?).

Go see the movie “Unplanned” the story of Abby Johnson who was a Planned Parenthood staffer and knows what goes on.

Catholic hospitals and life issues

JAMA publishes little research blurbs either too short or too weak for prime time in the back of the journal as "Research Letters." March 19, 2019, vol. 321, no. 11 has one that Catholic hospitals should note. . . they are coming for you. First an ominous note on how Catholic hospitals increased by 16% between 2001 and 2011, and then a search to see if Catholic hospitals mentioned in their websites and mission statements that they were Catholic, so patients knew ahead of time about the Church's moral teaching on the "reproductive" and end of life care.

I make 2 observations here. One would have to know zip nada zilch about Christianity and Catholicism to miss it since 79% had the word "Saint" in their name. And 77% of the ones that didn't have Saint, had Jesus, Christ, or Gospel in their name. And if you don't know the Catholic Church's position on contraception, sterilization, abortion and euthanasia, you really should, since it's about the only church in America that actually has strong documents on life issues.

Also, the paper was funded by a grant from the Society of Family Planning, an organization that advocates for abortion and contraception and which is lobbying for new guidelines for facilities (clinics, offices) that offer abortions (or maybe in this case working up to battling facilities that DO NOT offer abortions).

Also, 3 of the 6 the articles cited are by one of the authors, Maryam Guiahi who seems very concerned about Catholic hospitals and "reproduction." I looked up her name, and found a much more extensive article on this topic (it's common to reuse and massage information so you can show more publications on your vita). In another one of her articles, "Mystery callers phoned 144 clinics nationwide that were found on Catholic hospital websites between December 2014 and February 2016, and requested appointments for birth control generally, copper IUD services specifically, tubal ligation and abortion." When pro-life people do that sort of research, they end up in court and sometimes jail.

She has a cottage industry in just her many publications for finding "concerning" behavior and rules in Catholic hospitals. The Left has driven the Catholic Church out of the adoption business; it wouldn't surprise me if her research is much more sinister.

Voting by non-citizens

This pre-Obama, pre-Trump article (from July 2008) on voting by non-citizens is interesting, well thought out, and shows how times have changed in 11 years. In the old days,  the onus was on the illegal behavior of the non-citizen and how it disenfranchised American voters. Now the writer would just be a white supremacist for suggesting illegal aliens and legal aliens shouldn't vote.

https://www.heritage.org/report/the-threat-non-citizen-voting?

The evidence is indisputable that aliens, both legal and illegal, are registering and voting in federal, state, and local elections. Following a mayor's race in Compton, California, for example, aliens testified under oath in court that they voted in the election.[8] In that case, a candidate who was elected to the city council was permanently disqualified from holding public office in California for soliciting non-citizens to register and vote.[9] The fact that non-citizens registered and voted in the election would never have been discovered except for the fact that it was a very close election and the incumbent mayor, who lost by less than 300 votes, contested it.[10]

Our Constitution was bathed in prayer

“America is a nation founded and nurtured on prayer. However, according to a recent Pew Report, prayer in America has “gone rogue.” In other words, anything goes: from spirit drumming to mystical chanting. People across the USA are praying, but most confess they are merely addressing “someone out there.”

“We always pray for you, that our God…may fulfill every resolve for good and every work of faith.”  2Thessalonians 1:11

In 1787, about five weeks into the Constitutional Convention, the framers were frustrated in their attempts to draft the U. S. Constitution. Benjamin Franklin challenged them to return earnestly in prayer to God on behalf of their nation. He asked, “If a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured that ‘except the Lord build the House, they labor in vain that build it.’”

God is still shaping America’s future in the hearts of those who seek Him. Today, pray specifically for those blindly praying to “someone” that they may discover the true identity of God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ; placing all hope for themselves, and for America, in His great power. “

The Presidential Daily Prayer Briefing

George Orwell was a prophet—today’s MeToo movement and the Left 3.0

From the book “1984:”

"The aim of the Party was not merely to prevent men and women from forming loyalties which it might not be able to control. Its real, undeclared purpose was to remove all pleasure from the sexual act. Not love so much as eroticism was the enemy, inside marriage as well as outside it. "

"Sexual intercourse was to be looked on as a slightly disgusting minor operation, like having an enema. This again was never put into plain words, but in an indirect way it was rubbed into every Party member from childhood onwards. There were even organizations such as the Junior Anti-Sex League, which advocated complete celibacy for both sexes. All children were to be begotten by artificial insemination (artsem, it was called in Newspeak) and brought up in public institutions. "

"The Party was trying to kill the sex instinct, or, if it could not be killed, then to distort it and dirty it. " "And as far as the women were concerned, the Party's efforts were largely successful."

Orwell was a genius. https://www.shmoop.com/1984/repression-quotes-2.html

Joe Biden doesn’t get it

But Janice Fiamengo does. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhAir7sJ3ys  She has carefully looked at the Creepy Uncle Joe videos of his “inappropriate” behavior with women and girls, and sees nothing alarming.  She regrets that some conservatives are using this to go after him—or even some who want something other than a white male running for the DNC.

What she does announce is how Biden supported all the anti-male regulations, behaviors and law suits of the Obama era. For that she wants an apology from him. She knows the rage to condemn will keep expanding, no matter how innocent or how often the men apologize. It won’t end.  The Left eats its own.  All the publicity will only encourage women to accuse Biden.  It’s a set up.

His actions are far more serious than a nose bump or hair smelling.  He was on the feminist bandwagon early.  Co-author of Violence Against Women Act (excludes men from being victims, and has ruined many lives).  More than a billion dollars have been poured into Women’s organizations that accuse men; the single most disastrous piece of legislation in the U.S.

As vice president he was an advocate of strong arming men in colleges who were denied all basic U.S. rights for citizens.  He’s joined the anti-white male movement. He has suggested tearing down the legal system and rebuilding along feminist lines.

Janice wants an apology for creating male misery, not for innocent touching.

How did we get to this mess? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlVTNVFvryc  A little history.

Morehouse to accept women who think they are men

In the name of inclusiveness, the nation's only all male black college will be accepting women who think they are men. Black women have historically had a much higher rate of college entry and graduation than black men. 71 percent of master’s degrees and 65 percent of all doctorates awarded to black students go to black women. Why do they need to take up slots intended for black men when there are plenty of co-ed schools? Why not just make Morehouse co-ed?

Inside a fabulous library of 65 years ago.

Be still my heart. A librarian's stroll down memory lane, a bibliophile's paradise, a film made in 1956 of la Bibliothèque nationale de France (the National Library of France) in Paris. Much of it looks like the inside of the library at the University of Illinois where I worked as an undergrad, graduate student and a professional librarian (in Slavic studies). I can almost hear the creak of the elevator, smell the dust and mold, and feel my shoulders ache from lifting heavy volumes. And yes, librarians did wear high heels and dresses in those days. We wore lab coats to go into the bowels of the beast to look at the latest arrivals from Russia and Europe. If you've ever worked in a large, magnificent library you must see this film.

Don't let someone else choose it for you.

It's the only way to survive the challenges to come.

43. Count your blessings.

It will make you happier.

44. Compliment the meal when you're a guest in someone's home.

This makes you happier, too.

45. Wave at the children on a school bus.

It will remind you that children are the future. And help them see that you know that, too.

46. Remember that 80 per cent of the success in any job is based on your ability to deal with people.

So if you haven't learned how, start now.

47. Don't expect life to be fair.

But no matter what, never lose hope.

More on Reparations by Booker

Booker on Reparations: “Since slavery in this country, we have had overt policies fueled by white supremacy and racism that have oppressed African-Americans economically for generations,” Booker said in a statement on Monday, according to Fox News. “Many of our bedrock domestic policies that have ushered millions of Americans into the middle class have systematically excluded blacks through practices like GI Bill discrimination and redlining.”

Someone needs to remind Booker that these policies were put in place by his party, Democrats, who for decades attempted to block Republicans' civil rights legislation. Democrats were behind Jim Crow, the KKK, terrorism by lynching, separate but equal (which some blacks are now bringing back), overt discrimination based on color, quota system in college enrollment, open borders to allow competition for jobs, voter fraud with illegals crossing out their voting rights, and now systematic killing of generations of black babies beginning in the 1970s. Even the minimum wage was put in place to keep blacks from under cutting whites in a tight labor market. Clever guys, those Dems. They don't teach these things during Black History Month. Or that free blacks owned slaves at a higher rate than whites in the south.

Military dog stamps

I’m looking forward to seeing the military dog stamps (scroll down). I send about 500 cards a year and am always looking for handsome stamps.  During one of our Veterinary Medicine Librarian meetings in San Antonio we took a bus to an Air Force base and watched the dogs being trained. https://about.usps.com/newsroom/national-releases/2019/0129-updates-to-2019-stamp-program.htm

“Military Working Dogs

The Postal Service honors the nation’s brave and loyal military working dogs with this new booklet of 20 stamps. Each block of four stamps features one stamp of each of the following breeds — German shepherd, Labrador retriever, Belgian Malinois and Dutch shepherd — that commonly serve in America's armed forces. The background of each stamp features a detail of a white star. A star appears in the center of each block. The stylized digital illustrations are in red, white, blue and gold to represent the American flag and patriotism. The art was created by DKNG Studios. Art director Greg Breeding designed the stamps.”

Do we really need the federal government for common sense?

"The U.S. Senate’s Judicial Committee’s Subcommittee on the Constitution, led by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), will host a hearing, titled “Stifling Free Speech: Technology Censorship and the Public Discourse,” which will address whether social media giant Twitter and other tech companies are censoring conservative speech, including the hit pro-life movie UNPLANNED." (Carmel Communications)

Do we want the government directly involved in managing a private business like cable stations and social media companies? Are they now public utilities? Cities and states stifle religious expression and thought through local regulations and laws (bakeries, restaurants, flower shops)--does the federal government need to pile on another layer? Are there tax adjustments the government can make to companies who violate our freedom of expression and religion?

Poor are getting rich

"The poor in the world are getting rich at a rate that is absolutely unparalleled in all of human history. I think a large part of that is happening in Africa. By the way, here’s another lovely piece of news, the child mortality rate in Africa is now the same as it was in Europe in 1952. That’s an absolute miracle. It’s insane that that’s not front-page news, right? That within a lifetime. And the fastest-growing economies in the world are also there." Jordan Peterson, Heritage Foundation,

Cory Booker and reparations

I wonder if Cory Booker's reparations bill carries heavier tax penalties for Hispanic Americans since it is their ancestors who introduced slavery to the Americas in the 15th and 16th centuries. He appears to be about 95% European, so I suppose he'll get less as he tries to vote himself a raise? And since there are millions of African Americans whose families immigrated during the 20th century, will Booker propose a test--or will they have to pay more since their ancestors sold other Africans to the Europeans? Barack Obama has no ties at all to pre-Civil Rights era America.

Free blacks in the U.S. southern states owned slaves at a higher rate than whites, most of whom were too poor to own any property. Free blacks in the U.S. voted in the 1700s--they voted for the Constitution! But Democrats have traditionally put in place laws and regulations to hold blacks down or decrease their numbers, especially the Jim Crow laws and abortion clinics. About 40% of black pregnancies end with abortion. How about reparations from the DNC for that, Senator Booker?

Today, there is more world wide slavery than during the 18th century transatlantic slave trade--much of it still African. Children are forced to work in mines in Africa so Mr. Booker can have a cell phone. Perhaps the Senator should come up with a plan to free them instead of trying to undo the results of the Civil War which freed the slaves.

Are you Red Pilled?

Red Pill refers to the 1999 “The Matrix” when the main character chooses to take a pill that will wake him to reality no matter how painful. Former Democrats often refer to themselves as “red pilled”.

If you are  not red pilled you are getting your news almost exclusively from CNN, MSNBC, Twitter celebs, leftist memes on FB, and you read uncritically Vox, Daily Breast, WaPo, NYT or some form of academic drivel. You’ve accepted without question lies about Trump created from edited video and audio about Charlottesville and MS-13; you accept his jokes and humor as factual; you believe biology is fluid and gender a social construct; you fall for the SJW virtue signaling and AOC’s version of climate change which requires Socialism; you may even accept Open Borders and quote the Bible (except for that part about the Cross).

Come on—take the red pill—you’ll feel better when you heal. It only hurts your pride, and you may lose a few friends.

That other Vlad evaluates the Candidates for 2020

A note on April 1 from Lenin about the Democrat candidates: "Skinny boychik with fake Spanish name, the one from Texas with rich wife who stares at him like Renaissance painting– is he old enough to vote? Looks like kids in Red Army ended up as horsemeat during Siege of Leningrad. Yes, I was gone by then, but I watch. Would be good scoutmaster or director of afterschool program at local YMCA. But president? Maybe chess club if he knows rules."

And more.

The Democrat platform for 2020

The 2020 campaign and platform for the Democrats, based on recent behavior of those in Congress and those who have declared:

1. Open borders.
2. Pack the polls with ex-felons, 16 year olds, and illegals.
3. Destroy the electoral college so Democrats can legally win all future presidential elections with 4 states they packed with #1 and #2.
4. Implement the Green New Deal so the public sector control and influence is greater than the private sector--aka socialism.
5. Infanticide and late term abortion for any reason.
6. Abortion's progressive outcome, euthanasia for the inconvenient, ill, disabled and elderly.
7. Ratchet up the hate, fear and distrust with more identity politics and intersectionalism.
8. Reparations for slavery.
9. Destruction of first and second amendments, with more regulations, more laws, especially on religion, speech, and assembly on college campuses which then infects the whole society as academe has been doing for 50 years.
10. Find more charges to bring against the President and his family.

During the campaign, because it pleases the gullible and fattens the purse, the emphasis will be #1 (worded in compassionate and Biblical terms), #7 and #10. The others are really distasteful for most Americans and will need to be more incremental with more changes in the language with talk of core values, ethics, etc., the best double speak they can find.

Why have Democrats abandoned Israel?

"[Hypocrisy and arrogance] can be found throughout the relationship between Democratic leadership and Israel/Jews since the 2018 election. Since its inception in 1948, America, and especially the Democratic party has been allied with Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East. But with the new media popularity of Ocasio-Cortez, Tlaib, and Omar, the leadership of the Democratic party has surrendered their values in favor of making these three freshmen representatives happy. Although all three have clearly and repeatedly demonstrated anti-Semitic behavior, especially Omar, the Democratic leadership has turned over the persona of the party to them in hopes of acquiring a younger base of voters.

These three women have defined Israel as “evil” and an “apartheid regime”, compared Gaza terrorists to civil rights activists, and idolized Louis Farrakhan, one of the most vocal and horrific anti-Semites of the last forty years. And yet, instead of apologizing for their behavior and making it clear that their words and actions are not representative of the traditional values of the Democratic party, the leadership has done the exact opposite. Instead of making amends, they have embraced these freshmen, even putting the most vocally anti-Semitic Omar on the House Committee on Foreign Relations. Speaker Pelosi poses proudly with them on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, and Senator Schumer pulled back support of an anti-BDS bill in January that would have supported Israel as a result of their pressure. When a bill was proposed to condemn anti-Semitism and the hatred espoused by especially Omar, the bill was watered down to include all hatred without taking Omar to task personally." What is the role of non-profits?

The Special Olympics is in the news right now.  Betsy DeVos suggested budget cuts, and since it isn’t a government agency, she recommended cutting the $15 million it gets from the federal government.  I didn’t know they got any—but I should have.  It’s a worthy organization, doing a lot of good, and we contribute. For the last 50 years, the federal government has been “bullying” the non-profits, while also providing a large part of their funding.

"Until recently, our understanding of the development of the welfare state in advanced industrial countries assumed that the hallmark of a progressive welfare state was a large public sector that regulated the private sector to a small residual role. In this view, the United States with its smaller public sector and larger private nonprofit sector compared unfavorably. The government contracting with nonprofit agencies calls the prevailing view into question. In the recent period, government has used nonprofit agencies to expand the boundaries of the welfare state in the United States in a host of service categories - from child abuse to domestic violence to homelessness. The result is a welfare state that is more expansive than would be the case if policy makers relied solely on the public sector." Political Science Quarterly, vol 104, no.4 1989-90.

This article is 30 years old, but the points still hold true--except for that part that non-profits don't have the bloated salaries of government workers. It wouldn't surprise me if the non-profit heads aren't making more than comparable level of government employees.

There is a revolving door in DC for one party's pooh-bahs to move to a non-profit when out of power, then be called back when they regain power. This really ballooned under GHW Bush--"Thousand points of Light."

Ukraine is getting as much press as Russia these days

“While the 2016 presidential race was raging in America, Ukrainian prosecutors ran into some unexpectedly strong headwinds as they pursued an investigation into the activities of a nonprofit in their homeland known as the Anti-Corruption Action Centre (AntAC). The focus on AntAC was part of a larger probe by Ukraine's Prosecutor General's Office into whether 4.4 million in U.S. funds to fight corruption inside the former Soviet republic had been improperly diverted. The prosecutors soon would learn the resistance they faced was blowing directly from the U.S. Embassy in Kiev, where the Obama administration took the rare step of trying to press the Ukrainian government to back off its investigation of both the U.S. aid and the group...It turns out the group that Ukrainian law enforcement was probing was co-funded by the Obama administration and liberal mega-donor George Soros. And it was collaborating with the FBI agents investigating then-Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort’s business activities with pro-Russian figures in Ukraine. ”

The War on Black Marriage

"Black demographics" (web site) is very pro-Obama, but has some good information. "In 2012 The U.S Census Bureau released a report that studied the history of marriage in the United States. They discovered some startling statistics when calculating marriage by race. They found that African Americans age 35 and older were more likely to be married than White Americans from 1890 until sometime around the 1960s. Not only did they swap places during the 60s but in 1980 the number of NEVER married African Americans began a staggering climb from about 10% to more than 25% by 2010 while the percentage for White women remained under 10% and just over 10% for White men."

So, what happened in the early 1960s? It seems the instability in the black family doesn't trace to slavery days, but to the so-called "War on Poverty" when Uncle Sam became a step-father to thousands. Now if you look the comparative wealth of whites, blacks, Hispanics and Asians, you see that Asian Americans have the greatest household wealth, highest rate of education, and the lowest child poverty. And--the highest marriage rates. Who knew? Apparently we did--until the government stepped in to help.

I have not been able to locate the Census report of 2012 cited in the article. https://blackdemographics.com/households/marriage-in-black-america/  But I’ve heard Jason Riley site the same statistics in False Black Power. https://www.hoover.org/research/jason-riley-false-black-power

Juss-tice

I was listening to a Chicago talk show host in the car during the church mail run (didn't catch his name), and he'd done some research on hate crime hoaxes. It turns out, he said, it's not that unusual to be let off with a slap on the wrist. Don't know the source of his information.
But because our culture is fascinated by victimhood we reward the hoaxers. Because intersectionality outranks all the rest, the Chicago guy thinks the light sentences encourage this. (Intersectionality means a lesbian Hispanic with one leg who is also low income and working as a maid ranks higher in victimhood than an Appalachian straight woman who works in a coal mine and is abused.)

Even with a video of the 2 Nigerian guys buying red hats and ropes and their check from Jussie Smollett, the media want us to just say, "we'll never know" what happened.  This may be the first time I've ever agreed with Rahm Emanuel, the mayor of Chicago who says it's a complete whitewash. Kamala Harris "is confused," and although when the hoax first came out she said it was "a modern day lynching," now she says we don't have the evidence.

The middle class isn't going to disappear

"America’s middle class is disappearing but it’s because they are moving into higher income groups not moving into lower income groups. Between 1969 and 2017, the share of US households making $100,000 or more (in constant 2017 dollars) has more than tripled from 9% to 29.2%, while the share of households making $35,000 to $100,000 decreased from 53.8% to 41.3%. And the share of households making $35,000 or less decreased from 37.2% to 29.5%." Carpe Diem

The Smollett crime

Project 21, a conservative black think-tank opined: "Washington, DC - After prosecutors dropped charges against actor Jussie Smollett in the case of an alleged Chicago hate crime hoax, members of the Project 21 black leadership network are condemning the situation as a crass display of "celebrity privilege" harmful to both race relations and the reputation of the law enforcement community. Project 21 continues to maintain that the NAACP should drop its nomination of Smollett for an honor at its upcoming Image Awards ceremony.

"This case stands for one clear proposition - regardless of color. In America today, people of wealth and privilege can escape accountability for the same acts that mainstream Americans cannot," said Project 21 Co-Chairman
Horace Cooper. "This deal stinks, and it makes a mockery of the idea that all Americans are equal before the law." "

Identity theft

The crime of identity theft happens more often to wealthier, white, females.

https://www.bjs.gov/content/pub/pdf/vit16_sum.pdf

“Based on the 2016 survey, more females (13.5 million) experienced identity theft than males (12.5 million). However, males and females had similar identity-theft prevalence rates (10% each). Whites (12%) had a higher prevalence of identity theft than blacks (7%), Hispanics (6%), and persons of other races (8%). Whites and persons of two or more races (12% each) had a similar prevalence of identity theft. Persons ages 35 to 49 and ages 50 to 64 (12% each) had a higher prevalence of identity theft than all other age groups.

Also, persons in the highest income category (those in households with annual incomes of $75,000 or more, which includes 35% of all persons age 16 or older) had the highest prevalence of identity theft  (14% experienced it).”

The gender gap is a mommy gap

It's not a pay gap, it's a mommy gap. A choice gap. "43% of highly qualified women with children are leaving careers or off-ramping for a period of time." ("Lean in" by Sheryl Sandburg) And I know this is difficult to understand, but a baby is a whole lot more fun than attending meetings, rushing to catch a plane, or listening to office gossip. So many women cut their hours, at least for a period of time, to enjoy their children rather than put them in day care or send them off to grandma's. That of course, means their salaries don't keep up.

I see my doctor tomorrow--she's only working 2 days a week since she had a baby last year. And it's her choice--it's an all female practice, and I think they are all doing that. Now if you want to study gaps, check out the difference the all female clerical staff who work full time, make compared to the doctors who are working 2/5 time.

Today I watched CNN

Today I actually watched CNN. It was an interview with Sarah Sanders and she demolished the interviewer. When his last whine was "what about obstruction of justice?" She just said, "You can't obstruct a crime that never happened." It lasted over 5 minutes (seemed like 10) but this clip I found it the CNN website has been edited down to about 2.5 minutes, with the interviewer doing most of the talking and regurgitation the usual media lies. I can see why people who watch CNN are so confused and unpatriotic.

https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/2019/03/25/sarah-sanders-mueller-report-newday-sot-vpx.cnn

Think of the damage done to the President, his policies and the people who elected him by the Democrats and the lapdog media:

"An analysis found that more than 530,000 web articles focusing on Russia, President Trump and special counsel Robert Mueller have been published since the special counsel's investigation launched in May 2017, Axios reported Monday."

The articles generated 245 million interactions, including likes, comments and shares on social media giants Twitter and Facebook. Since the majority of the articles about him were negative, and these articles go out world wide, you see how Russia and Putin damaged our country with the help of the Democrats and the American media who fell for (or in) the false Clinton opposition research about the phony dossier.

And it's still going on. I watched CNN this morning. I know.  They won't give this up. It's just too lucrative.

Dating violence in middle school?

My jaw dropped when I saw this study. Reducing dating violence/partner abuse among middle school boys. What?! And then it got even more strange--to participate they had to "identify as male" i.e. it's possible some of these were girls, and the parents had to speak English, which means in those schools, immigrants were probably not included.

Also interesting, but not surprising was 91% of the parents who participated in the focus groups with their sons were mothers. William Farrell in "The Boy Crisis" notes that boys without father involvement are more likely to be violent and in mass shootings like Adam Lanza, Elliott Rodger, Dylann Roof, Nicklas Cruz and Stephen Paddock.

A perfect storm—Venezuela and a measles outbreak

Some people don't think that socialism in Venezuela is a problem, or they think the problem hasn't been caused by "real" socialism"; and others think no vaccines is not a problem. So when they meet, it's a perfect storm. This abstract is from Emerging Infectious Diseases, Volume 25, Number 4—April 2019. Keep in mind, that although the U.S. isn't a "neighboring country," we are at risk from unvaccinated people storming our borders.

"Venezuela’s tumbling economy and authoritarian rule have precipitated an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. Hyperinflation rates now exceed 45,000%, and Venezuela’s health system is in free fall. The country is experiencing a massive exodus of biomedical scientists and qualified healthcare professionals. Reemergence of arthropod-borne and vaccine-preventable diseases has sparked serious epidemics that also affect neighboring countries. In this article, we discuss the ongoing epidemics of measles and diphtheria in Venezuela and their disproportionate impact on indigenous populations. We also discuss the potential for reemergence of poliomyelitis and conclude that action to halt the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases within Venezuela is a matter of urgency for the country and the region. We further provide specific recommendations for addressing this crisis."

From the article: "In Venezuela, circulation of wild measles was interrupted in February 2007 after a mass vaccination campaign that followed outbreaks in 2001 and 2006 (15). However, since 2017, measles has reemerged in Venezuela, particularly within vulnerable indigenous populations, and has subsequently reached neighboring countries (Figure 1, panel A) (16). As of October 23, 2018, Venezuela had contributed 68% (5,525/8,091 cases) of the measles cases reported in the Americas and most of the measles-related deaths (73/85) (16). Genotyping of the measles virus isolated from patients from Venezuela (imported cases) in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru confirmed that the strains were genotype D8, lineage MVi/Hulu Langat.MYS/26.11 (16). The D8 genotype is associated with endemic transmission in Asia and the Pacific (17) and is the main lineage circulating currently in South America (16)."

Mueller Report

I don't care what the Mueller Report says. The Democrats, the media and the Department of Justice have done far more damage to our country than Russia could have dreamed of.

The media, in collusion with Adam Schiff and the Democrats in Congress will want the investigation to go on and on and on and on, because it brings in so much revenue when people click on or buy the ads supporting their lies. NYT, LATimes, WaPo, CNN, MSNBC, the alphabet networks and HuffPo, Vox and Big Tech may hate Trump but they love the money he brings them.

Collusion isn't a federal crime. If we had to attack every government that tried to interfere in our elections, we'd have no allies, and if the U.S. had to stop interfering in other nations' elections, we'd have no military bases on foreign soil.

I saw that Rachel Maddow had tears in her eyes in reporting this. Someone on Twitter made fun of her and lost their right to post.   I feel sorry for anyone who was depending on CNN or MSNBC for “news.” Like the Electoral College, the presumption of innocence is a fading concept for Democrats. It's just a roadblock on the way to socialism.

Pre-mow

Driving home from church this morning I heard a good tip from Ron Wilson on 610 a.m. https://ronwilson.iheart.com/ I certainly can't use it. He said today is a good day to do a "pre-mow." Set the mower down a notch and mow your yard. It will vacuum up all the crud and cut off the brown areas, making your yard look great. You won't need to mow regularly for a few more weeks, but this gives you a head start on the neighbors.

Newt Gingrich on the Mueller report, March 21

“President Donald J. Trump is right: Every American should be able to see what Robert Mueller and his team have been doing for the last two years.

As the President said on Wednesday, “Let it come out. Let people see it.”

For two years, virtually every media outlet – and every left-wing political organization – has been opining, speculating, and fantasizing over what dirt Mueller’s team of Anti-Trump lawyers could dig up on the President and his associates. Again and again, they have used the investigation as a cudgel to attack the Trump administration and rally the so-called “resistance.”

However, with each new indictment and each new case that Mueller has handed off to various district courts, it’s become increasingly apparent that the special counsel’s office has simply been using the power of the Department of Justice to conduct an inquisition on anyone in Trump’s orbit – and do whatever was necessary to gain their cooperation or put them in jail.

Retired General Michael Flynn, who had worked as Trump’s national security adviser, was interviewed by Mueller’s team for hours. They kept him talking until they could find any inconsistencies, and then they charged him with lying to federal investigators. Then, they threatened to go after his son if he didn’t sign a plea deal.

Paul Manafort’s house was raided. He was kept in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day. The ultimate charges against him had nothing to do with his work on the Trump campaign. They were all process crimes and financial crimes related to Manafort’s previous business dealings.

With Michael Cohen, it seems Mueller just kept Cohen cycling through lies, until Mueller found the ones he liked.

Many have commented that Mueller is treating this investigation in the same way he went about taking down the Gambino crime family. Let that sink in. The special counsel’s office is treating the duly elected President of the United States and his associates as though they were a murderous, organized crime family.

This is why the report should be made public. The American people should be able to see how far Mueller and his team have been willing to levy the power of the government to torment people and extract cooperation from them – in a political investigation.

I realize that making Mueller’s report public would be a historic move on the part of Attorney General William Barr. Even the Watergate report by special prosecutor Leon Jaworski was not made public until 2018. But Mueller’s investigation has been a historic effort by the Left and the Washington Establishment to unseat a sitting U.S. President.

Of course, classified information and information that would endanger national security or human life should be excluded. Also, the names of regular people who have been unwillingly pulled into this hunting party should be left out. But the American people should see – in detail – all the lengths to which Mueller’s team went to get what they wanted. All the arm-twisting, threats, promises, and punishments – everything.

I have no doubt that the Democrats are going to cherry pick pieces of the report to serve their own purposes – and the media will gleefully amplify and echo them.

However, the American people have the right to see the investigation in full and decide for themselves whether this has been a legitimate investigation – or an inquisition carried out by bureaucrats who didn’t like the choice Americans made in 2016.”

Be cautious about that word “nonpartisan”

“The Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law is a nonpartisan law and policy institute that works to reform, revitalize – and when necessary, defend – our country's systems of democracy and justice.”

Obviously, not very nonpartisan.  In a publication about fighting terrorism put together by an intern, Sara Johnson, in the third paragraph we find this bigoted, inaccurate account of Trump campaign rallies.

“These concerns [about white supremacist terrorism] grew more pronounced as Donald Trump’s bigoted campaign rhetoric inspired rallies around the country in which neo-Nazis, white nationalists, proto-fascists, and far-right militias openly engaged in violence. This included beatings, stabbings, and shootings of counter-protesters and journalists, with little interference from law enforcement at the time and just a handful of belated federal prosecutions.3"  The footnote directs the reader to a PBS show and an LA Times article.  I was a librarian, and we wouldn’t have accepted those sources for a Freshman English class.

Really? No mention of people wearing MAGA hats being attacked on college campuses, in restaurants and parks?  No word about mobs shouting down conservative speakers on campus?  That isn’t terrorism when coming from Black Lives Matter or Antifa?

So I didn’t read any further.  What would be the point when Sara has concluded at the outset that Dylan Roof’s horrible crime can be blamed on President Trump, even though I’m guessing Baltimore’s high murder rate wasn’t blamed on Barack Obama by her or anyone else at the Brennan Center.

Finding information sources

With social media giants silencing conservatives and Fox News lurching to the left, we may have to find alternate information sources. I like the Canadians like Jordan Peterson, Janice Fiamengo, Gad Saad, and talkers like David Rubin, Candace Owens, PragerU, Turning Point USA, Lowder with Crowder, Lionel Nation, Matt Walsh, Hugh Hewitt, Larry Elder, Sebastian Gorka. But all these can go away in a minute, with a change in ownership, or pressure from the socialist mafia.

Also listened to a new podcast, Red Pilled America. Excellent information, in depth reporting and heartfelt opinion. https://redpilledamerica.com/blog/episode-18/  "Silicon Valley monopolies have taken control of the digital public square and censoring voices based on their belief systems. And if you think the government has nothing to do with this censorship, you are mistaken. Twitter recently admitted that politicians from both sides of the aisle want Big Tech to police our behavior."

Why do Blacks vote overwhelmingly for Democrats? https://redpilledamerica.com/blog/demo-home/episode-2-remix/

Fox at 3 p.m. was always liberal land--Shep--so today I turned on Newsmax while I was changing the bed.  Pretty good.  Howie Carr.  Not sure who his sidekicks are.  I'm also thinking of re-subscribing to Glenn Beck.  His media empire has expanded. https://www.newsmaxtv.com/Shows/The-Howie-Carr-Show

Democrats are serious about destroying the Electoral College

Our "Founding Fathers went to great lengths to ensure that we were a REPUBLIC and not a DEMOCRACY. In fact, the word democracy does not appear in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, or any other of our founding documents."

“In Federalist Paper No. 10, James Madison wanted to prevent rule by majority faction, saying, “Measures are too often decided, not according to the rules of justice and the rights of the minor party, but by the superior force of an interested and overbearing majority.”

John Adams warned in a letter, “Remember democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet, that did not commit suicide.”

Edmund Randolph said, “That in tracing these evils to their origin, every man had found it in the turbulence and follies of democracy.”

Then-Chief Justice John Marshall observed, “Between a balanced republic and a democracy, the difference is like that between order and chaos.”

The Founders expressed contempt for the tyranny of majority rule, and throughout our Constitution, they placed impediments to that tyranny. Two houses of Congress pose one obstacle to majority rule. That is, 51 senators can block the wishes of 435 representatives and 49 senators.”

First it was the KKK, then Jim Crow, and now the Democrats have another way to disenfranchise southern Blacks and rural whites--destroy the Electoral College so the only votes that matter are the major metropolitan areas on the west coast and east coast. Do you really think Mississippi or Alabama or Idaho or Wyoming will ever see a candidate for President if Democrats are successful in their diabolical scheme?

What's going on at Fox?

What's going on at Fox? Soft on Muslim radicals and soft on Democrat crime. I don't know the details, but it doesn't look good for all the media to be left of center. I think that's called collusion--or just crony capitalism. Comment from a Facebook site—I didn’t write this and haven’t checked for errors:

"Judge Jeanine Pirro and “New Fox.”

Ya want to know what’s going on with Judge Jeanine Pirro? Fox News won’t tell you, but I will. There’s no joy in Mudville.

Disney is buying the 21st Century Fox movie studio assets. Fox Corp., begins trading as a standalone company Tuesday, 3/19/19, after a spinoff from 21st Century Fox. The “new Fox” holds TV assets including Fox News, the Fox broadcast network and television stations, and Fox Sports.

The new company has named directors to its Board, including Paul Ryan, former speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, to its board. That sucks, in my opinion. It’s no wonder that Fox is giving grief to Judge Jeanine Pirro. The company has also named Roland Hernandez as a director. Mr. Hernandez was previously chief executive of Telemundo Group Inc. Who’s next: Meghan McCain?

Fox News’ treatment of Judge Jeanine Pirro is inexcusable. But remember this. IF YOU QUIT WATCHING FOX NEWS, THE LEFT WINS. The Commiecrats would like nothing better than that we stop watching Fox News. True story."

Fox News leads all the other networks. The stockholders have made millions from a network that occasionally promotes a conservative viewpoint with opinion shows. CNN viewership is pitiful—it’s opinion is in the news--but it's all Europe gets. We don't need another liberal/socialist/lapdog like the other media. Fox already had 3-4 liberal rip and read folks that caused us to hit mute. Now Donna Brazile? The so called "political analyst" for the Democrat party who threw the nomination to Hillary? Commenting on Omar [which the judge did], who regularly disses the President and hates Israel, is a more serious sin than throwing Bernie under the bus and cheating the CNN viewers?

So why would I want to continue watching Fox? All social media is clamping down on conservatives—but there are still a few out there.

How testosterone affects girls in-utero

A boy’s testosterone levels in the womb may affect the adult life of his twin sister, according to a study published yesterday (March 18) in PNAS. I expected a completely different result from in-utero effects of testosterone on females.

https://www.pnas.org/content/early/2019/03/14/1812786116?

Abstract:

During sensitive periods in utero, gonadal steroids help organize biological sex differences in humans and other mammals. In litter-bearing species, chromosomal females passively exposed to prenatal testosterone from male littermates exhibit altered physical and behavioral traits as adults. The consequences of such effects are less well understood in humans, but recent near-doubling of twinning rates in many countries since 1980, secondary to advanced maternal age and increased reliance on in vitro fertilization, means that an increasing subset of females in many populations may be exposed to prenatal testosterone from their male co-twin. Here we use data on all births in Norway (n = 728,842, including 13,800 twins) between 1967 and 1978 to show that females exposed in utero to a male co-twin have a decreased probability of graduating from high school (15.2%), completing college (3.9%), and being married (11.7%), and have lower fertility (5.8%) and life-cycle earnings (8.6%). These relationships remain unchanged among the subsets of 583 and 239 females whose male co-twin died during the first postnatal year and first 28 days of life, respectively, supporting the interpretation that they are due primarily to prenatal exposure rather than to postnatal socialization effects of being raised with a male sibling. Our findings provide empirical evidence, using objectively measured nation-level data, that human females exposed prenatally to a male co-twin experience long-term changes in marriage, fertility, and human capital. These findings support the hypothesis of in utero testosterone transfer between twins, which is likely affecting a small but growing subset of females worldwide.

Wild in the Streets is the script for 2020

https://youtu.be/vcUv4dAiCkA Wild in the Streets (1968)--what the 2020 candidates grew up with--"we're 52% and we control the economy". A low budget satire--the 2020 candidates are using the script. Of course, then the issue was 18 year olds can vote--Max wants more. "Give us the vote at 14." What better way to control the next generation than to let them vote you in?

Sally (Diane Varsi who died at 54)  is the AOC of 1968. Max says he doesn't want to live to be 30, but he (Christopher Jones) made it to 72. Gave up films to become an artist.

What do Democrats want?

Democrats want to destroy the Electoral College so deplorables, middle America and fly-over country will just go away and let California and New York run things. Kill babies, remove borders, let 16 year olds, illegals, and felons vote, pay reparations, take away your cars and cows, grab your guns, pack the Supreme Court, buy off the college coaches and presidents, and as all the 2020 candidates say, "return to our core values."

Michael Smith, guest blogger on the wokeness race for the White House.

This is an important read--the Democrats are about identity--and don't you believe you don't need an ID to be acceptable. They care only about the color of your skin and your sex. They only care about your wealth and religion if they need a third or fourth category to separate you from the herd.

Michael Smith, whom I know through Facebook and blogging, has handicapped the Democrats on their road to wokeness.  Interesting--some of these folks I've never heard of, especially his winner.

"I thought I would try to handicap the Democrat Presidential Olympics in their current state – if the Democrats lived up to their progressive Wokeness rulebook:

Beto, Booker and Sanders have all announced they would select a female running mate (well, Sanders actually said “other gendered”, so we don’t really know who or what he will pick) – but isn’t that a disqualifier coming from a cis-gendered white male? Shouldn’t these candidates step aside for a woman?

Anyway, Booker is the only one who might get a pass because Beto and old “Three Dachas” Bernie are cis-gendered, rich, white males and as King Arthur said about the number 5, they are “right out.”

What about the other honkies?

Bland Biden is about as pasty as they come – he checks none of the boxes for wokeness. Neither do Hickenlooper, Inslee, Delaney or Weld. All white, all cis-gendered and all rich. In the annals of wokism, none are as unworthy as Emo Beto, Three Dachas Bernie, Bland Biden, Loopy Hickenlooper, Comrade Inslee, John “Who” Delaney, and CBD Oil Bill (Gary “Weed” Johnson’s running mate the last time this circus came to town).

Three strikes for all – white, male, and rich.

Then there is Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana. Dude is gay – but also white and privileged (Harvard – BA in history and literature and as Oxford man, a Rhodes Scholar) – and that cancels out his honorable military service. I don’t know if he identifies as a top or a bottom and while his gayness gains him points over the other white candidates, he still is white. Unless he does a Rachel Dolezal or Talcum X, he’s toast as well based on the Rules of Wokeness.

The slogan for the Donks is Democrats2020 – No White Dudes (not even a gay white dude).

Then you have a few male, cis-gendered racial/ethnocentric candidates.

Andrew Yang is out because he is rich, Ivy League privileged (Brown, Harvard Law) but blacks are on a higher rung than Asians on the Ladder of Woke, he’s done.

Julian Castro is also out because while Hispanics outrank Asians, they still don’t rank as high as blacks – plus, he is also a cis-gendered (as far as we know) dude. He also has an identical twin, so there would always be a fear of he and his brother doing a “Dave” and taking turns in the Oval Office.
For black dudes, we have Booker and Wayne Messam, the mayor of Miramar, Florida. Booker might identify differently (his imaginary friend T-Bone might have been his boyfriend) but for now, he is cis-gendered according to his beard, Rosario Dawson, and unless that changes, he is still male and as mentioned before, the Rules state he must step aside for a woman.

Nobody has heard from Messam since he was a third string wide receiver for Florida State back in the early 90’s but playing a cis-gendered sport like football and attending college in Florida isn’t going to help.

Now for the Democrat Womenses:

Gillibrand is so painfully white she is transparent and flops around like a fish on a hot dock.

Kloubachar is white, bitchy and mean.

Warren is a real white communist and a fake Indian.

Marianne Williamson is a white, new age religionist who studied theater and philosophy for two years at Pomona College in California.

Sounds like the cast of Mean Girls. The cast is right out.
That leaves Kamala "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Harris and the K-Bar Surfer Chick Tulsi Gabbard.

Unlike Warren, Kamala Harris is a real Indian and a POC (Person of Color). Her parents are Jamaican and Tamil Indian – but Kamala is also Willie Brown’s crazy ex-girlfriend, sleeping her way to the top of the California government. She prosecuted people as AG for things she now supports, so even though she is a real POC, she comes off as a real POS. She’s out as well.

Gabbard is multi-ethnic, multicultural and multi-religious. So much multi for one woman. Her father is of Samoan and European ancestry and an active lector at his Catholic church. Her mother, who was born in Decatur, Indiana, is of German descent and a practicing Hindu. Gabbard herself chose Hinduism. She took her oath of office on the Bhagavad Gita in 2013 and describes herself as a karma yogi. She is also a Major in the Army National Guard and she also seems to have a little common sense, a wish to work across the aisle and supports some policies that are almost libertarian. Gabbard is half Haight-Ashbury and half Military Industrial Complex. For Democrats, that’s going to cancel out all the “multi” in her background.

Out of all the Dem candidates, I think Gabbard would give Trump the most trouble.

Conclusion:

By the current rules, Gabbard should be the pick for the Democrats – but she won’t be. They will pick Biden because the Democrats are just as fake as their candidates. They believe Biden has the best chance to win and while Gabbard might be his VP pick, they will go with the rich, white, establishment dude in the end.”

What stresses millennials?

If you look up “millennials + stress” you'll see some charts and graphs and a few ideas on how to handle stress, but not much on what is causing the stress. Limbaugh read a list today, which I found so vacuous and funny, I had to check and see if it was a real survey. Well, you still don't know about things published as "a study," or "research,' but here's the list--I looked it up--supposedly, someone asked them. I surely would have guessed losing a smart phone would be #1. They don't breathe without them. Notice how much is digital--perhaps they need to go off the grid now to prepared for the New Green Deal, which will necessarily also have to eliminate the phones. Don't know why choosing what to wear would even be on the list--how hard is it to pick out a pair of jeans? And shouldn't school loan payments be higher, like maybe #2 or #3? https://www.studyfinds.org/survey-millennials-life-more-stressful-than-ever-before/.

Here are the top 20 stressful scenarios reported by millennials:

1. Losing wallet/credit card

2. Arguing with partner

3. Commute/traffic delays

4. Losing phone

5. Arriving late to work

6. Slow WiFi

7. Phone battery dying

8. Forgetting passwords

9. Credit card fraud

10. Forgetting phone charger

11. Losing/misplacing keys

12. Paying bills

13. Job interviews

14. Phone screen breaking

15. Credit card bills

16. Check engine light coming on

17. School loan payments

18. Job security

19. Choosing what to wear

20. Washing dishes

Hens in the Fox house

Rep. Omar is a Muslim, a Somali immigrant refugee given a home here in the U.S. Her religion has declared that Israel needs to be wiped off the globe. Israel is a U.S. ally. She has said hateful things about Jews. Somehow, the Democrats have managed yet once again, with the help of the media to make her an innocent, and Fox in a panic that they are in top place in the ratings (fear of success?), thinks it needs to remove Judge Jeannine from her popular show for telling the truth about Omar. We live in strange times.

This has been a horrific month for Democrats so far by guest blogger Brian

    • Jussie Smollett indicted on 16 felony counts.
    • Ilhan Omar sanctioned for anti-Semitism.
    • Mueller team falling apart.
    • Dozens of Democrat donors indicted for college admissions bribery scheme.
    • AOC investigated for campaign finance fraud.
    • Manafort receives light sentence for crimes having nothing to do with Trump and NO collusion.
    • Wall being built and national emergency stands, in spite of obstruction from both parties.
    • The Governor of Virginia's old yearbook reveals him in blackface after he announces he's in favor of terminating live babies after birth.
    • CNN and Washington Post sued for $250 million for defamation by Covington Catholic kids.
    • Cohen falls apart on the stand.
    • Avenatti loses everything and Judge tosses Stormy's lawsuit.
    • New Mexico compound Islamic extremists charged with terrorism.
    • Kirsten Gillibrand outed for protecting a male aide who was abusing her female staff.
    • Texts show Michelle Obama tried to intervene in Jussie Smollett case.
    • Declassified transcripts of testimony from Lisa Page show Obama obstructed justice in Clinton probe.
    • Transcripts from Bruce Ohr show Fusion GPS committed perjury
    • FBI wrongly investigated the NRA based on a fake Russia story.
    • Transcripts from Peter Strzok show Mueller knew of Strzok's plan to take down the President & said nothing.
    • Counties all over the U.S. are defying Democrat attempts at gun control with their own "gun sanctuaries."
    • Polls show Trump is making HUGE strides with the black & Hispanic communities due to policies that are putting people back to WORK and giving them real hope.
    • Instagram (owned by Facebook) is caught removing & censoring Donald Trump Jr.'s posts.
    • Facebook is caught removing & censoring Zero Hedge posts.
    • A team comes to Minnesota to investigate Ilhan Omar's marriage to her brother for immigration fraud.
    • Feds begin criminal investigation into Facebook for data sharing practices with Apple, Microsoft and more
    • Two senior Facebook executives mysteriously leave while Facebook goes dark for a day.

So what happens? John Podesta, the Clinton/Obama long-time fixer, goes to New Zealand a week ago for a "Progressive Conference," leaves and, suddenly, a mass shooting happens at a New Zealand Mosque in a country with some of the strictest gun laws. The right wing "white supremacist" shooter live streams it on Facebook, blames black conservative Candace Owens and writes a manifesto that sounds like something Christopher Steele or Jussie Smollett would write. Immediately, Twitter is filled with left-wing pundits blaming Donald Trump for Islamophobia and calling for gun control.

49 people are murdered so that we look the other way. Sick. This is what they do. Every. Single. Time.
