Again, I have to disagree with another Conservative

"Sarah Palin Says U.S. Headed Toward Socialism." Honey, we've already passed go and are hoping for our get out of jail free card in the game called Obamonopoly!

Norma, we have been on steady march toward socialism since before World War II. Obama is just one of many like Bush the Younger, Clinton, Bush the Elder, even dear old Ronald Reagan, who has led us down the road of big centralized government, and now people are waking up. Whether it’s too late is another discussion, but Barry Obama is nothing more than one of the train conductors who's on duty moving us down the road of socialism.

We can rationalize our beliefs or choices any way you want, but in the end, we have one party and during elections we are given a choice between vanilla and French vanilla. So for all you McCain supporters don’t delude yourself, McCain has been the biggest supporter of statism as any in the US Senate and would most certainly be doing the same thing Barry is doing, along with his weird mixture of Wall Street vultures and Washington Trotskyites.

As far as Ms. Palen is concerned, I have no use for this narcissistic woman and her flakey husband. They have abdicated their role and responsibilities as parents, all for the quest of self-important pursuits; the tree will be known for the fruits it bears.

The bottom-line is that for almost 100 years we the citizens of the United States of America allowed our politicians to slowly and steadily feed us bucket loads of crap so that we wouldn’t have to be responsible for ourselves, in exchange we let them hold office for a long time. We have allowed them to incorporate a steady dose of socialism because we are too lazy to think and act for ourselves.

Brian, then you are indeed a man without a country. Good luck in finding one that fits your 18th century model.

Do you honestly think this is all Obama's doing? The man has only been President for little more than 100 days. This is the cumulative work of many years. I have no admiration for Obama nor his ideals.
But if I am a man without a country locked in the 18th century model, then I am a afraid you can`t see the forest for the trees.

I believe that much of what Brian said is true... However. The situation feeds on itsself. We need the Government trough because the nation indeed the world has gotten to the point where it is financially impossible for the individual to stand on their own. Take healthcare... If you dont buy insurance... a racket if there ever was one I know I am a agent, and you have a medical problem... giving the doctor a chicken out of your hen house will not cover the bill. and for those of us that barely earn a living. (lifetime average wage on real jobs is 9.81 per hour go figure...) there is nothing to be done about it. There is not enough boot leather to pull up boot straps. Now that the fox is in that hen house, we will never have another egg... the government owns us, regulates us taxes us and frankly there is no cure for it except a revolution the likes of which this world has yet to see..

Kama'aina Barry is putting the finishing touches on making the US into a big sister of his homeland Hawaii the most socialized state in the Union. I see it as a big pay back for stealing this independent nation from its rightful Queen, about the time all of this socialism was first starting up... The annexation of Hawaii was one of the most paternalistic acts the US has ever foisted on another country... payback is a B**ch...

Sorry Norma for the rant

Brian, I never said this all was Obama's fault. But he is a Marxist, and taking advantage of a bad situation, just as his advisors planned. Marxism and National Socialism are just squabbling siblings with shared DNA. We are sliding off this cliff at an amazing clip--the damage that used to take 8 years, or 12, now can get accomplished in 4 months because there is no one to say he can't do what he's doing. The press has died and gone belly up; the Democrats are wetting themselves with glee; and the Republicans are just whiny.
