Yes, I can see why the airline industry is concerned about the Iceland volcano affecting air quality and vision. But what about the long term affects? Remember the little ice age? Millions of Europeans froze or starved to death when the climate changed--it got colder because of the amount of ash in the air. And here we've been shutting down or over regulating the very industries that could help us if this were to happen again. Ah, the wisdom of Big Brother.

no one seems to want to regulate coal mines and many workers continue to die.It would seem to me that none care as long as the profits are high. Right now someone(s) are thinking"how can I make a profit off the ice age". The beat goes on and no one gets it
Are you kidding me? Have you seen the mountains of regulations (many ignored and with loopholes)? Have you compared the safety of coal mines with Democrat controlled cities like Detroit and Cleveland?
It's not only affecting air quality it will create a big problem to our climate.
I was very worried the president might still try to go to Poland for the funeral, since he loves to visit and chat, but fortunately, his flight was cancelled along with all the other 2,000 or so for ordinary citizens. I knew if anything happened they'd blame the Tea Party crowd for causing the volcano.

Yes, they're concerned and they should be, as european airlines are losing every day 185€ MM (or $200 MM).
And indivisuals are suffering as well, 6 millions lost their travel. Today I read at Avui (a catalan newspaper) that a men took a cab from Barcelona to Oslo. 2700 km (1677.702 mi). What a travel...
