How ObamaCare Will Affect Your Doctor

Billions for IRS agents to enforce Obamacare, but nothing for doctors. Not a pay raise; not a pat on the back. Not a penny. In fact, it will drive doctors out of business with higher taxes and lower reimbursement while adding more patients to the rolls. That's how he plans to ration care. It's only "fair," you know. Why should you have something you've worked for while others have nothing to reach for?

Probably some doctor dollars in her someplace. Of course, that won't help the ones already out of school and paying bills.

Sec. 5210. Establishing a Ready Reserve Corps.
is certainly raising the alarm bells.

It's upsetting to me.

Nothing in the English terms "health care," "allied health," or "public health" specifically refers to MDs or DOs or even RNs. Those are very general, all inclusive, catch-all terms. It could be medical asst. which I think is a 6-8 wk program, or a physician's asst. which is several years training or a social worker.

Enforcement is specifically not allowed, per the new health care law.

"The penalty is assessed through the Code and accounted for as an additional amount of Federal tax owed. However, it is not subject to the enforcement provisions of subtitle F of the Code. The use of liens and seizures otherwise authorized for collection of taxes does not apply to the collection of this penalty. Non-compliance with the personal responsibility requirement to have health coverage is not subject to criminal or civil penalties under the Code and interest does not accrue for failure to pay such assessments in a timely manner."

It's assumed that there will be more sensible people who will purchase health insurance when it's affordable to them than those who will go without to show some kind of warped sense of 'liberty'.

For those people, we will still all have to pay for their medical treatment, should they become ill or find themselves the victim of an accident.

Personal responsibility always goes out the window then.

How interesting that you seem to think there will be, in a few years, private insurance to buy, for anyone, including federal employees. Or that this huge federal grab of states' rights while at the same time saddling them with the increased medical costs won't collapse the system. Dream on.

Going without a product you don't need or want is a "warped sense of liberty?" No, it is liberty. What other services and products should anon be forced to purchase that he doesn't want? Being required to cover a disease after the fact, is hardly insurance, so where is the liberty for that company?

I think this is one way to bankrupt a country who is already mostly owned by China, debt-wise. How can they not see the disaster ahead?

Norma said...

Our leftists definitely need to brush up on how alive and well marxism is in China, our new owner.

Oh, how they are going to miss their internet freedoms when Obama gets through with them.

I think that for the first year or so, the bureaucrats that will be running "Health Care" with be making things up as they go along. Soon after that there will a a codification (much like the Federal Register in which all the rules will be ironclad, and NO ONE will have voted for them.
Did you note the TV News blip the other day about the Urologist in California who put up a sign in front of his office suggesting that anyone who favored Obamacare should find another Doctor?

Three Score and Ten or more said...

Whoops the Urologist who made the sign lives in Florida. Humble apologies.

Apparently, there is no current law that calling someone an Obama voter is hate speech and illegal. But I'm sure they'll find some way to punish him.

Yes--I see that a FL congressman is calling it racist since the dr. has African American patients.
