Wow! That is a VERY good point. No one else has put it like that, and it hits the nail right on the head for folk who are inclined to be compassionate in ways that are misguided.
And the title of your post is PERFECT.
Can't take any credit for the title--it's Murdock's phrase. Fewer than 7% of all our immigrants in this century are "refugees" as Christians think of their responsibility.
