Thursday Thirteen
Here are thirteen poems I've posted on my blog over the last 2.5 years. I wouldn't expect you to read all 13, but here are some clues. Missing someone? Try #4, #7 or #8. Tired of winter? #13 is good. Ever wondered about gossip in a small town? #1. Had any really crummy jobs? Betcha can't beat #2. Do you like to paraphrase scripture? Think on #3. Nostalgia? #6, #11.
1. What I heard about you
2. Working for DeKalb Seed
3. On a theme from Habbakuk
4. The anniversary
5. Susanna looked East
6. Christmas Formal
7. Mothers of our Childhood
8. Daddy-lions
9. December 21
10. New and unread books and unopened music
11. Last day of July
12. Complementary Colors
13.The longest month
(If you participate, leave your link in the auto-link and it will post here, but please leave a comment.)
The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates a little bit better every Thursday. Visiting fellow Thirteeners is encouraged! If you participate, leave the link to your Thirteen in others comments. It’s easy, and fun! Be sure to update your Thirteen with links that are left for you, as well! I will link to everyone who participates and leaves a link to their 13 things.

I just read the first one because it's close to my heart. Well. I lived on a small island where people knew when you sneezed - or thought they did. It drove me away... But I still have some good memories, thankfully. Your poem was very true.
My 13 are up.
Hello again, just a quick note to let you know my Thursday 13 are up.

Oh I like poetry - I'll have to read thru them... since I'm new to your blog (only been here a couple time) I haven't read them before. :)
Hi Norma!! I especially liked Complimentary Colors. Impressive indeed.
You always have great 13s! :)
Awww, great poetry!!
You do have a talent for writing poetry !
My TT is finally up a bit late this week :)
Thanks for visiting She Lives and letting me know your TT is up!
Love the poems. A couple of them would set well to music. I can just hear "What I heard about you" as a country tune. "Last Day of July" as a folk tune.
It didn't make a melody in my head, and I don't know if maybe I took it wrong, but "Daddy-lions" brought up a chuckle. My dad was USAF. He hated the darned things, too!
Very cool! And I'm with you on #13. :)
