A caution for people still looking

"A fellow told me he spent twenty years looking for the perfect woman before he finally found her. The only problem was that she was looking for the perfect man." Attributed to Warren Buffet.

I've heard that before, but saw it today at Maggie's Farm, and thought it a good reminder for a certain someone waiting for 40.

I didn't find what you were referring to on Maggies Farm, but if you keep scrolling down, there is a picture of an undressed lady. Luckily I clicked it off before my sons noticed (they were both in the kitchen with me). I would have had a lot of explaining to do (why wasn't that lady wearing any clothes?, Isn't she cold?, etc). Have a good weekend:)

Maggie's Farm has a link to quotations used on the site. I scrolled down and saw a lot of naked turkeys, and a scantily clad woman serving beer. Must be a guy thing. Yes, it might have made for some interesting kitchen conversation. Like you, I find it off-putting.

Good quote. You have a lot of interesting blogs. I'll have to take some time to look around. :)

Before my dad passed away in '88, one of his best friends was from India. He said his daughter had met a man she wanted to marry, but dad still had to approve. They still had arranged marriages, but were working with their daughter and her more modern ideals.

He told me arranged marriages worked great because the couple knew up front they may not be "compatible" and had to work on their relationship over time. Very interesting, something I've never forgotten.
